Jennings run out 238 (Yorkshire v Lancashire 464-5)

That was the only way Yorkshire were going to get him out.

Keaton Jennings sets off for a single from the non-striker's end, but Phil Salt sends him back.

He's not even in the picture as Dom Bess collects the ball and whips off the bails.

It ends an outstanding innings which lasted exactly nine hours and 408 balls.

    Yorkshire v Lancashire 453-4

You may have just noticed I called Dom Bess, Dom Boss, in a post.

The only boss in this game at the moment is Keaton Jennings as he sweeps Bess to the rope for his 32nd boundary.

Keaton Jennings likes batting against Yorkshire.

The left-hander chips Dom Bess to the rope and surpasses the 221 not out he made for Durham against Yorkshire in 2016.

    Jennings up to a career-best 225.

  8. 500 up for Somersetpublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 13 May 2022

    Glos v Som 507-5

Like the last game at Bristol, the wicket is increasingly resembling a portion of the M32.

In fact, the bend near junction two might provide more assistance for the bowlers than this.

Tom Abell sends Zafar Gohar over midwicket for six and is nearing a career-best.

  9. 50 runs

for Luke Procterpublished at 14:09 British Summer Time 13 May 2022

    Warks v Northants 506-5

Among those moments, Luke Procter went to a 144-ball fifty with six fours.

Third time past fifty for the 33-year-old this season in this his fourth game.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 13 May 2022

Cobb run out (Davies) 66 (Warks v Northants 506-5)

Josh Cobb takes a big stride down the wicket to heave Danny Briggs over long-on for his third six.

    Northants pass 500.

But Cobb is a fraction slow responding to a leg side single and Alex Davies throws down the striker’s stumps running in from midwicket.

Dave Foot: Isn't it great to have Lewis Gregory back in the side?!

Yes such a key player for Somerset. Three failures so far this season with the bat so some welcome runs.

Had some fun on this ground last season too.

  15. 50 runs

for Lewis Gregorypublished at 13:45 British Summer Time 13 May 2022

    Glos v Som 469-5

Zak Chappell with some leg theory after lunch.

He bumps Lewis Gregory from round the wicket.

Gregory hooks and a top edge flies over fine leg for his third six to give him fifty in 52 balls, also with six fours.

  17. 'Fletcher stars at number 11'published at 13:28 British Summer Time 13 May 2022

Middlesex v Notts 415 all out

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Demoted to number eleven in the Nottinghamshire batting order, Luke Fletcher provided the perfect response at a time when it was most needed.

With James Pattinson and Stuart Broad included, Fletcher went in last today, with his side wobbling on 352-9, having been 329-5 overnight.

Dominating his 63-run partnership with Broad, Fletcher hit five fours and two huge sixes to reach his sixth first-class fifty, before nicking behind on the stroke of one o’clock.

Fletcher, Broad and co will now be strapping on their bowling boots, with a healthy 415 on the board.

  18. 'Nothing unlucky about Friday 13th for Somerset'published at 13:18 British Summer Time 13 May 2022

    Gloucestershire v Somerset 453-5

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Friday the thirteenth has so far proved all too unlucky for Gloucestershire.

In the pace of a single Zak Chappell over, they saw Miles Hammond spill a straightforward catch at second slip to reprieve Tom Abell before he had added to his overnight 52 and then - much worse - had to watch their captain, Graeme van Buuren, being helped off the pitch with what looked like a nasty shoulder injury after an unavailing dive to try to prevent an Abell boundary.

After that, it was Somerset all the way, with Lewis Gregory stroking a typically muscular 44, after the departure of Steve Davies.

Abell duly reached his century, his 10th for Somerset, and his second in successive innings against Gloucestershire at Bristol. So far, there's been nothing unlucky about Friday the thirteenth for Captain Tom!

  19. 'Sussex get noses in front'published at 13:06 British Summer Time 13 May 2022

    Leicestershire 210 v Sussex 137-3

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Sussex with their noses in front at Grace Road, where after an opening flurry of runs, Sussex’s progress has slowed, but are now in arrears by just 73

Tom Haines raced to his third half-century of the season before he played on, and Cheteshwar Pujara was given out just 15 runs later, a harsh lbw decision with the ball looking to be missing leg stump.

Tom Clark promoted to number three is within one run of his fourth half-century of the season, and has shared an unbroken partnership of 41 with Ollie Carter.
