    Yorkshire 356-8 v Lancashire 566-9 dec

Lancashire leg-spinner Matt Parkinson gets things under way at Headingley with Jordan Thompson facing.

Can Yorkshire's final two wickets get the 61 runs they need to avoid the follow-on?

Both sides are wearing black armbands to remember Andrew Symonds who played for Lancashire in 2005.

  15. Duke balls are a problempublished at 11:02 British Summer Time 15 May 2022

    Durham v Glamorgan 65-3 (target 191)

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Glamorgan are three down in their second innings in Chester-le-Street and having been set a target of just 191 yesterday, need another 126 to get the job done today.

Durham were going along nicely at 179-3 in their second innings but collapsed, losing their last seven wickets for 65 runs. On what still looks like a decent pitch I think that will be a difficult total to defend.

But what is really baffling is the quality of the Dukes cricket balls they are using this season. There were five unscheduled ball changes yesterday because they keep going out of shape. There have been seven in the game so far. And it's been happening in every game so far this year too.

The Durham skipper Scott Borthwick admits it's a problem: "The balls have been shocking this year. We have been on a call with the ECB at the start of the week. I think there have been more ball changes so far this season than all of last season.

"They seem to go soft pretty quickly and then swell a bit and go out of shape. I think the pitches are firmer and a bit harder so that may be a cause. But they are just not a great batch to be honest."

The sun is shining in the north east, contrary to the weather forecast of a day or so ago so we shouldn't have any interruptions today. I can't see this one going much beyond lunch though.

    Yorkshire 356-8 v Lancashire 566-9 dec

Yorkshire and Lancashire will also have a minute's slience before play to remember Andrew Symonds and wear black armbands.

The hosts head into the final day at Headingley needing another 61 runs to avoid the follow-on.

If they are made to bat again, it could make for a hugely interesting conclusion to the match, but it's a tough ask for Lancashire to take 12 more wickets on this pitch.

  20. Postpublished at 10:53 British Summer Time 15 May 2022

    Kent 230 & 82-1 (f/o) v Surrey 671-9 dec

Two of Andrew Symonds' former sides, Kent and Surrey, will remember him with a minute's silence before play and by wearing black armbands.

Surrey are chasing a victory in that game at Beckenham and need nine more Kent wickets.
