That was some innings from Suryakumar Yadav. It was full of extravagant, but perfectly placed and timed, shots.

Sky, as he is nicknamed, is making himself known to a global audience.

    What a shot to end!

Suryakumar Yadav flicks away, in the most flamboyant way, and it clears the square-leg boundary with consummate ease. It brings up his half-century off 25 balls too.

Netherlands need 180 to win in Sydney.

You've got to wonder how many he might have scored if he started teeing off a little earlier!

    Effortless.

Virat Kohli just stands up and flicks over square leg.

    He doesn't even contemplate running.

Paul van Meekeren will be delighted with 1-32 against India. And he finishes with a 91mph delivery!

That was a bit of a freebie outside the off stump with the cover fielders in but it's such a skill to get it over them like that.

His timing is ridiculous. The ball is so full, almost yorker length, and he's hitting them with ease.

  11. Ind 162-2published at 19 overs

Suryakumar Yadav is putting on an absolute clinic. He drills a poor ball into the cover boundary, before perfectly dissecting long-on and mid-wicket to pick up a couple more.

A good over from Paul van Meekeren though, just eight from it. You'd take that at this stage of the innings any day.

There is the most beautiful sunset over Sydney right now. What a place and what a ground.

That is just terrific. The angle is all wrong for hit it that straight with the bowler coming round the wicket but it's just the way he gives himself room.

It's so difficult but he makes it look so easy.

  13. Ind 154-2published at 18 overs

Netherlands' ground fielding has been pretty much faultless today. Fred Klaassen does really well at fine leg to dive at full stretch and keep them down to a couple.

Nobody can get near this though. Suryakumar Yadav gives himself some room by skipping a couple of paces outside leg stump, and drives down the ground for four. Some shot, some player.

That was in the air for quite a while, just teasing Shariz Ahmad.

Suryakumar Yadav miscues an attempted whip over fine leg and it teases Shariz Ahmad, but even with a slide he's nowhere near taking the catch.

Two singles end the over, but it is still 16 from the over. India are clicking through the gears.

    He's in the zone now.

    Oh, Virat Kohli. Stop it.

Fred Klaassen changes his field and the former India captain just plants it straight where the fielder moved from.

It was a flat six, and just cleared the rope, but it is absolute textbook stuff.
