We might have to close the commentary box window if Muhammad Haris does eventually connect. He's swinging hard enough.

The wicket of Mohammad Rizwan could be a big one.
This is what he is capable of.

Emma Gregory: Yes!!! CURRAN!!!!! Our main man this tournament.

That's as good an over in a powerplay as you will see.
What a tournament Sam Curran is having. He concedes just one run, alongside that wicket, in the fifth over.
Muhammad Haris is the new batter, by the way. He's come in during the tournament, and has generally smashed the ball round. He has struck at 161.81 so far.

There were louder cheers than I was expecting there as the stumps lit up. There must be more people supporting England than it initially appears.

That was the wobble ball outside off stump that has brought the attempted drive through to covers and a thick inside edge. How often do we see those miss the stumps?
Rizwan b Curran 15 (Pak 29-1)
BREAKTHROUGH!
It's definitely not the best ball that Sam Curran will ever bowl. It's the wobble ball, but it's very wide outside off stump and Mohammad Rizwan looks to drive away.
There's a little bit of movement back in and it draws the inside edge of Rizwan's bat and cannons into leg stump.
Curran loves it, running into the leg side, jumping and fist pumping in delight.
We're going to have a stoppage.
Pakistan steal another quick single to short fine leg, and Mohammad Rizwan brings out the full length dive.
He loves a dive, but this time it causes him some grief as the helmet grille has bounced up and hit him near the eye.

It's a good thing I'm down under right now, as 1900 beers seem more acceptable!

A good over for Pakistan, as they take 12 from it.
Babar Azam clips over Chris Jordan at mid-on to take three and keep strike off the final ball.
It's noisy in Melbourne. England fans are outnumbered.

That's a huge six from Rizwan. It wasn't a bad delivery. It was full and straight. The slog-sweep has come out and it has flown over square leg.

An explosion of noise...
Hmmm. As I say that Mohammad Rizwan gets down on one knee and slog sweeps Chris Woakes for six over square leg.
That is some shot...

There's something in it for the bowlers here.

That's a nasty ball from Curran. It cut back and bounced.
Ooh! That's a good ball.
A little bit of movement back in from Sam Curran surprises Babar Azam and ends up smacking him in the stomach. That's going to hurt.
There hasn't been a boundary yet. I suspect that may be a theme in this final - the ground is absolutely massive.
Sam Curran concedes three runs from his first three balls.
England have settled down a little bit.

I've just seen all the groundstaff gathering at the boundary and looking at the radar on their phones. Or maybe they have just come down to watch the cricket and are texting their friends?
