We're having a look at a possible stumping of Marcus Stoinis but nobody seems to think it's out. Just a formality.

Davies is quicker than the rest of his team-mates. He is pushing Marcus Stoinis.

  3. Brave 42-2published at 70 balls left

    Target 148

The crowd has woken up now as Alex Davies injects a bit more momentum into the innings with some really good, fast running between the wickets.

    He's pretty rapid.

And follows it up with a classical drive for four. All of a sudden, after the absolute chaos at the start, Brave are cruising.

Southern Brave's chase got off to a really weird start. Literally no one knew what was happening.

But it ended up with the big wicket of James Vince.

  7. Brave 33-2published at 75 balls left

    Target 148

Stoinis this time! Consecutive fours to end the powerplay, the first 25 balls, and Brave will be feeling much better now.

  8. Brave 24-2published at 79 balls left

    Target 148

Alex Davies is on a roll now. Jordan Thompson is into the attack and is greeted by four runs first ball.

This is still a very good pitch for batting. Spirit need another couple of wickets to really get themselves back in it.

Davies has just gone with the angle. He will feel a little happier now he has got a few out of the middle.

Brave 20-2published at 80 balls left

    Target 148

Pressure = eased. A little bit, anyway.

Alex Davies smashes a four followed by a six down the ground, and the crowd have enjoyed those two.

  11. Missed stumpingpublished at 85 balls left

    Brave 9-2

    Ohhh! There's the opportunity.

Davies takes a step down the pitch, misses... the only downside for Spirit is that the keeper misses too, and it runs away for four runs.

    Handy runs for Southern Brave.

Alex Davies is just struggling a little bit at the moment. It can be a tricky surface here at the Ageas Bowl.

  13. Brave 5-2published at 87 balls left

Alex Davies is under pressure having just played a big part in running out one of their best batters - and Eoin Morgan's men are letting him know it!

Tense stuff out there, as Spirit know this is their time to seize the game.

  14. Brave 4-2published at 90 balls left

    Target 148

Well, we all thought this chase would be a walk in the park for Southern Brave but the defending champions are in a right pickle here.

Time for more spin as Liam Dawson comes on to bowl.

That is shocking running! That is just disastrous this early in the game.

It was a great tribute to the Chuckle brothers.

De Kock run out 2 (Brave 4-2)

Oh, that is village. Quinton de Kock is fuming and rightly so!

Brave's start goes from bad to worse as the batters get completely confused, and somehow both end up in the middle of the pitch. Daniel Bell-Drummond fields the ball and has the easiest job, throwing the ball to the bowler Ellis who does the rest.

Some glum faces in the Brave dugout.

  17. Brave 4-1published at 92 balls left

Nathan Ellis, an Australian who plays for Hampshire, comes into the attack with his wild, all-arms-everywhere bowling action.

It's eerily quiet at the Ageas Bowl, who seem a bit cross at their Hampshire player representing the opposition!

  18. Brave 2-1published at 95 balls left

    Target 148

Alex Davies is the new batter and gets a single straight away, before Quinton de Kock repeats the act from the fifth ball.

    And breathe. Interesting start!

In the slow mo there it didn't look like the ball was there when the bails lit up?

    Vince b Maxwell 0 (Brave 0-1)

Ermm... he's been bowled, apparently! What a start for the Spirit!

That was so weird. James Vince looked properly confused, Maxwell grinned as if to say, "I'll take it".

I have no idea, but it's out. On we go!
