That is good captaincy to bring Briggs on. Sometimes you have to take a risk.

  5. wicket

    Salt c Cox b Briggs 19 (Originals 44-2)

Danny Briggs comes into the attack... and strikes!

That is a huge wicket, the man in form Phil Salt has to depart. He tries to launch Briggs into the stands but instead hits it straight to Jordan Cox on the boundary, who barely has to move.

Invincibles are back in the game!

Has he got two in two?!

The umpire thinks so, but batter Wayne Madsen doesn't...

    Nailbiting stuff for the hosts.

All the whirling and spinning paid off for Hatzoglou. He needed that.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 82 balls left

    Evans c T Curran b Hatzoglou 9 (Originals 32-1)

It works this time! A big breakthrough!

It's not his best ball, still a bit short, but Laurie Evans looks in complete despair as he's hit it straight to Tom Curran at mid-wicket.

Lovely scenes as his Invincibles team-mates gather around him with plenty of hugs and encouragement, sensing he wasn't bowling his best and needed that boost.

  15. Originals 32-0published at 83 balls left

Phil Tufnell counts Hatzoglou's ball-spinning antics and there are 15 spins from hand to hand before he's even bowled the ball. FIFTEEN! He doesn't even blink either.

    It's quite hypnotic.

But it's still not really working. He bowls a wide that beats the keeper and runs away for four.

Tom Curran slows things down a little for the Invincibles with just five runs coming from his first five balls.

There's almost a run out chance as his brother Sam absolutely rocket-launches the ball to the stumps but only succeeds in clattering Phil Salt on the backside instead. Oops.

  17. Originals 21-0published at 90 balls left

    Target 144

The spinner Peter Hatzoglou has the most incredible bowling action. He flicks the ball from one hand to the other about eight times with real aggression and a steely look on his face before beginning his run up, which must be some kind of superstition.

It doesn't quite pay off here though, as Phil Salt sweeps him for two crunching boundaries.

You can read about Hatzoglou's back story here.

Flying away! Looking to attack from the off is what they need to do.

  19. Originals 9-0published at 95 balls left

    Target 144

Sam Curran recovers well from that first ball, but Laurie Evans has no mercy and carves the last one away for another boundary.

A rapid start for the Originals.
