Trent Rockets batter Dawid Malan, who top-scored with 19: "Unbelievable! To do it in front of such a full house. It was so tight but the captain got us over the line.

"It was a tricky wicket, but it created a good game. Part of our strength is having depth. We have good batters and all-rounders and this shows how important that is."

A special mention for Manchester Originals at this point.

They lost their first three games before winning their last five group games to get through to the knockout stages.

They were brilliant in the eliminator last night and have played their part in a magnificent final tonight.

They've done all that while losing Jos Buttler and Andre Russell - two of the best white-ball players in the world - too.

Captain Lewis Gregory finished unbeaten on 17 from six balls for Trent Rockets.

What a player. He can be seriously undervalued and appreciated at times. He never lets any team he plays for down.

He has led this Rockets side superbly during the tournament.

Topsy-turvy, low-scoring and the bowlers executed brilliantly. It was a brilliant innings from Lewis Gregory, taking that responsibility himself.

The Trent Rockets are elated. What a game of cricket we have witnessed under the lights at Lord's. What a final.

The captain does it! Lewis Gregory drives away and it breaks the in-field and runs away for four.

Trent Rockets win the men's Hundred by two wickets with two balls to spare.

Richard Gleeson is down on his knees. He is being pulled to his feet by his Manchester Originals team-mates. He is distraught.

An utterly magnificent game of cricket.

    Arghhh!

Agony for Richard Gleeson and Manchester Originals.

It is a full toss on the pads and Lewis Gregory flicks it fine for four runs.

Rockets need ONE run from THREE balls.

The tie really is on and the extra fielder inside the ring makes all the difference. The bowler has to be absolutely spot on.

It's a lot of runs to get from five balls. They're under immense pressure.

  20. Rockets 109-8published at 5 balls left

Miscued from Lewis Gregory, but it actually helps because it allows Trent Rockets to scamper through for two runs.

Josh Little finishes with 2-18 from 20 balls. He's taken 13 wickets in five games for the Originals. I suspect we'll see him in next year's competition.

Rockets need 11 from the final five balls. Richard Gleeson is going to bowl.
