Rockets 57-3published at 50 balls left

    Target 121

    Oh, shot.

Paul Walter goes a little straight and it allows Colin Munro to flick away for the first six of the chase.

That is a pressure reliever. Munro is a big wicket here.

Rockets need 64 runs from 50 balls to become champions.

Brilliant diving catch. Things are happening and Dawid Malan is the man to go. Stubbs is delighted.

"We are in this," he bellows. And they are.

What a catch from Tristan Stubbs. He's gripped it about two inches off the floor, full length dive. Like a salmon.

Exactly what the doctor ordered. A key wicket!

    Malan c Stubbs b Walter 19 (Rockets 49-3)

    Hellooooooo!

Dawid Malan looks to work into the leg side but gets a leading edge. South Africa's Tristan Stubbs leaps to his right and takes a brilliant diving catch.

Tall Paul Walter delivers again. He's been brilliant for Originals in this tournament.

This game is far from over.

Little has been very successful. He reminds me of the Pakistan bowler Wahab Riaz with that flick of his wrist.

  8. Rockest 49-2published at 55 balls left

    Target 121

Laurie Evans returns to Josh Little again and it is a tidy set with four runs coming off his five-ball set.

One thing to note is that Originals have used 15 balls of both Little and Richard Gleeson now because of their need for wickets. It could leave them light at the end of the innings, if the game gets that far.

It's quite easy in a low chase to think you can walk it home but a few wickets fall and it changes everything.

  10. Rockets 45-2published at 59 balls left

Trent Rockets have consistently mixed up their order throughout the tournament because they love having a right and left-hand combination.

It means that Samit Patel has joined Dawid Malan in the middle, climbing above Colin Munro and Tom Moores.

If I were Tom Kohler-Cadmore I'd be a little bit miffed there.

I think the third umpire is probably right but I'm not sure there was the evidence to overturn that decision.

It's one of those where it is between frames and it is quite a brave decision from the third umpire.

Wow! That is a big decision and it's fallen in favour of the Originals.

    Kohler-Cadmore lbw b Parkinson 18 (Rockets 45-2)

    Got him!

That is a really good review from Matt Parkinson, he knew instantly that that was pad first and did well to convince his team-mates.

It is very close, but Nigel Llong decides it grazes the front pad first, and the technology shows it was going on to hit leg stump.

    An opening for the Originals.

  15. Postpublished at 20:44 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

    This is so, so close.

It looks like pad first, but it could also be the inside edge knocking it into the pad.

Nigel Llong in the third umpire seat is taking a long time to look at this.

They're chatting because if that didn't hit the bat, he's out. I think we're going to discover that that's pad first.

  17. Originals reviewpublished at 20:43 British Summer Time 3 September 2022

Oh, has Matt Parkinson got Tom Kohler-Cadmore out lbw?

The umpire says no, thinking it is bat first, but Parkinson is convinced it is pad first.

He talks Laurie Evans into a review. Can this provide the breakthrough?

Hartley has been incredibly useful for Originals to keep things tight and pick up wickets.

Oh dear. It's Ashton Turner and he will be thinking, "what have I done?"

He's just drifted seven or eight yards off the boundary. If he'd stayed in his position, that was straight down his throat. Instead it's one bounce for four.

  20. Rockets 40-1published at 65 balls left

    Target 121

Hmmm, this feels like a missed opportunity for Manchester Originals.

Dawid Malan slog-sweeps Tom Hartley away but it goes over the head of Ashton Turner, but bounces inside the rope and goes away for four.

I understand trying to stop the two, but you can't not even the possibility of the catch, surely?
