Originals reviewpublished at 100 balls
That's a review for lbw to end the innings, tactical from the Originals you'd think. Just to try and prevent a leg bye.
It looked to be outside the line but we'll see.

That's fantastic batting from Alana King she's just freed up her arms and absolutely smashed it, almost into the crane.
Well, the Originals did have a deep mid wicket in for King... but it doesn't matter when she is smashing it miles over their head!
That's a huge hit from the Aussie, into the building site at Old Trafford. How will Dottin respond?
Cross finishes off well, only four runs from her last four balls.
Five balls left for the Rockets and, if the Originals hadn't figured it out already, get a deep mid wicket in for Alana King. That is where she is aiming and she's cleared it once already!

I still think you should be looking at 120 minimum but it's going to be a push.
An ugly leg side hack from Freeborn but it does the trick! A thick outside edge and the ball flies up and over Threlkeld and bounces just before the boundary cushion.
That's 100 up for the the visitors.
Smashed by King - and it's gone all the way!
The Rockets needed that. Floated up by Hannah Jones and King waited before powering it over deep mid wicket for six.
Is that the start of the late surge by the Rockets?

Get Abi Freeborn on strike. She's the in-form batter right now, can we get Freeborn on strike?
Freeborn 35, King 2
Miserly stuff from Dottin again, a wicket and three runs from her latest five and it's now or never for the Rockets if we're going to get a big finish.
Alana King is out there with Freeborn now.

It's a shame for Katherine Brunt there. She was looking to go over extra cover but she found the hands of Emma Lamb.
Brunt c Lamb b Dottin 13 (Rockets 88-5)
Short from Dottin and thumped straight to extra cover!
The short ball has worked again but this one was there to be hit. Brunt knew it, she had to room to hit over the off side, could have gone along the ground or over the top.
In the end it was neither one nor the other and Lamb takes a smart catch.

Abi Freeborn is a great batter, she's very calm and collected when she's at the crease.
She will play 360 as well, she's worked on her game through the winter.
Really clever again from Freeborn.
She knows that Ecclestone is going to target the stumps and so gets herself in position early, uses the pace and lap sweeps fine again. Four runs.
Ecclestone is done for the day, with the ball at least.
A much-needed boundary for the Rockets to end Potts' five. It's heaved away by Freeborn, into the gap and no chance for Dottin as she runs around the boundary to try and cut it off.
25 balls left. What sort of total will the Rockets be looking for?

I think Freeborn would have been way out of her crease.
Run out chance! Hit and she's gone!
Freeborn hits the ball straight to Cross and mid off, goes for the single anyway and had the throw hit, the batter would not even have been in the shot.
As it is, Cross was off target and she is not best pleased with herself either. She knows that was a good chance.
Cross gets through another five and she has not been shy of using the short ball so far today.
It's worked well for her, just three runs from set of five.
