Summary

  • Spirit 122-7 - Luff 39* off 30 balls

  • Mooney brilliantly run out by Healy; Wolvaardt runs out Monaghan superbly from the boundary

  • Superchargers post 127-4 - Heath 57 off 34 balls

  • Spirit have now won one, lost one

  • Superchargers have lost both their games

  1. Superchargers 127-4published at 100 balls

A tame end to the innings as Laura Wolvaardt and new batter Alice Davidson-Richards can only scramble three singles off the final three balls.

The Superchargers reach 127-4 from their 100 balls, which means London Spirit need 128 to win.

I think Spirit will be the happier of the two teams, I think Superchargers left a few runs out there.

She just cleared the front leg and slapped the ball into the leg side. She's got to do it a couple more times.

Oh, at last! Finally a little bit of relief for Laura Wolvaardt.

  4. Superchargers 125-4published at 97 balls

That's more like it from Laura Wolvaardt!

She finally breaches the boundary rope with a wonderful shot through the leg side.

I've liked what I've seen from Amelia Kerr - all of her international experience is coming to the fore.

  6. Superchargers 119-4published at 95 balls

Just two runs and a wicket from that set of five by Amelia Kerr.

A great spell of bowling at this stage of the innings.

Freya Davies will bowl the last set.

    Armitage c Schutt b Kerr 16 (Superchargers 119-4)

Hollie Armitage picks out the fielder on the boundary!

The Superchargers has no choice really, she had to go for the big shot but does not get quite enough power and Megan Schutt takes a comfortable catch.

Superchargers will be looking to get to 140, maybe even a little bit more if they can.

Laura Wolvaardt is such a wonderful player when she just caresses the ball. She is trying too hard for me.

  11. Superchargers 177-3published at 90 balls

It is just not happening for Laura Wolvaardt at the moment, she has scratched her way to a boundary-free 17 from 25 balls but we have yet to see some of that wonderful technique we know she possesses.

That's a good set for five from Freya Davies at this stage of the innings, just the six runs from it.

That is a great shot from Hollie Armitage. She split the fielders perfectly.

Northern Superchargers needed that and they need some more runs from Armitage.

  13. Superchargers 110-3published at 84 balls

Hollie Armitage looks on it straight away. She hauls the ball into a gap in the leg side for four. That perfectly dissected the fielders.

The next shot is even better, almost leisurely pulling Megan Schutt away to make it back-to-back boundaries.

Superchargers have to try and accelerate here and get up to 130, which would be a competitive score. These boundaries are really short, though.

  15. Superchargers 98-3published at 80 balls

Superchargers captain Holly Armitage comes out into the middle to join Laura Wolvaardt.

20 balls left. What can the Superchargers get up to?

London Spirit needed that but Heath might be a bit disappointed with how she's got out.

Bess Heath goes for a wonderful 57. London Spirit have finally held onto a catch. But Bess Heath, take a bow.

    Heath goes this time though!

She goes for a pull shot but can only pick out Nathasha Wraith on the fine leg boundary who holds on to the catch to bring a wonderful innings to an end.
