Should have been run out but the throw was not good! It was too high but there was real hesitation in the running.
Spirit 122-7 - Luff 39* off 30 balls
Mooney brilliantly run out by Healy; Wolvaardt runs out Monaghan superbly from the boundary
Superchargers post 127-4 - Heath 57 off 34 balls
Spirit have now won one, lost one
Superchargers have lost both their games

Steady on! Superchargers attempt a risky single and a better throw from Amelia Kerr would have seen Bess Heath run out.

Superchargers needed that boundary. Heath was quick to pick up the length and picked the gap as well.
That is more like from the Superchargers. Bess Heath latches onto a short Amelia Kerr delivery and pulls the ball away into the leg side for four.
They need plenty more where that came from.

So far it has been either dot balls or boundaries but in the last few balls they are starting to rotate the strike, that's what you need to do and you expect it with someone like Laura Wolvaardt out there.

I wonder if we'll see any good catches like we saw yesterday?
Time for some more spin as 18-year-old Grace Scrivens comes into the attack.
"Come on Scriv!" is the shout by wicketkeeper Beth Mooney behind the stumps. And it is a fine start too, just three singles from her first five.
The London Spirit are doing a good job at pinning these two batters down.

Bess Heath has been in good form and has played a lot for England A against the touring teams. That is a beautiful shot.
Brilliant shot from Bess Heath as she crunches a Danielle Gibson delivery over the fielders in the off side and away for four. Timed to perfection.

It feels like The Hundred has actually started.
I said it felt like the men had been playing warm-up games which I don't think the Fire men liked!
Laura Wolvaardt has been bumped up the order, here she comes to join Bess Heath.
Great start with the ball by Amelia Kerr. One wicket and just two runs conceded from her first five.

Healy punches her bat in frustration, she knows she could have hit that anywhere.

What a catch! Amelia Kerr into the action straightaway. A very important wicket.
Healy c Monaghan b Kerr 22 (Superchargers 26-2)
Commentators curse from Alex Hartley - Amelia Kerr has removed Alyssa Healy with a full toss! A huge wicket!
Healy's eyes light up as she goes for another huge shot that looks six all the way, but she perfectly picks out Alice Monaghan on the boundary!

London Spirit has definitely made the better start but in the last couple of sets the Northern Superchargers have brought themselves back into the game with Alyssa Healy getting going.

We talked about the boundary rope being in a long way but I think that would have been six in the men's game later in the day.
Healy is turning up the heat on this Sunday morning.
I think Alyssa Healy is in the mood today. She has taken a stride forward and dispatched Freya Davies back over head for a huge six.
Two balls later she goes again, this time the ball bounces just once before going over the fence for four!
Healy has a beaming smile on her face, she is enjoying herself already.
Steady Alyssa! Healy goes for a reverse sweep that fizzes into the air and lands just short of Freya Davies in the field.
Still, that is another decent set of five from Charlie Dean in the power play, with just the five runs from it.
