Amy Jones is a dangerous batter and Trent Rockets need her out. This game can swing quickly and wickets can have such an impact.

    Almost... but not from King.

Perry and Jones get in a proper mix-up and there's a good run-out chance but a poor throw means Jones makes it back safely.

38 from 25 needed, and the batters looking comfortable.

    Big moment here.

Alana King to bowl her last set of five. Can she break the partnership?

Four more, Ellyse Perry cashing in this time!

Pressure on the Rockets bowlers and captain Sciver senses it, so she calls for the strategic timeout.

The worm shows Birmingham Phoenix Women are seven runs behind Trent Rockets Women. Birmingham Phoenix Women are 74 for 2 after 70 balls. At the same stage Trent Rockets Women were 81 for 4.

    Classy from Amy Jones.

Down on one knee and sweeps Kathryn Bryce's first ball for four.

It's not been the easiest chase but you sense Jones holds the key for Phoenix.

Nat Sciver and Amy Jones are best mates, but opponents today, so there's a bit of a joke between the pair as Jones hits one back and Sciver mock-throws it back at her.

    All smiles, thankfully.

From bad to worse for Sciver.

She bowls a no-ball, because it's not bounced and is over the height of the batter's waist, which gives away another run and the next ball is a free hit.

Thankfully, they don't score any runs from it, so that just eases the pressure a little.

  9. Phoenix 58-2published at 39 balls left

    Oh, Nat Sciver.

She gifts the opposition five bonus runs with a wide that bounces over the keeper's shoulder four an extra four.

    Phoenix will love that.

I said the Rockets could learn from Phoenix's efforts in the field and a brilliant piece of relay work from Mignon du Preez and Bryony Smith backs it up.

The ball is racing away to the boundary but Du Preez unleashes a full-stretch dive to retrieve it, and it's just pulled up inside the ropes by Smith, who was hovering expertly on her shoulder.

It saves two runs, which could prove crucial in this low-scoring game.

This is really good from Amy Jones. I just think she needs to keep going in that area because that is one of her strengths.

Ooooh, lovely. Amy Jones with a stunner, lofting the ball high and over the fielders to the boundary for four more.

The sort of shot that looks 10 times better when you're wearing those gold pads and helmet.

    Here's the latest worm update...

Phoenix have two experienced players batting at the moment and then they've got two big hitters left in Issy Wong and Emily Arlott. They won't want the run-rate to get too high though.

Alana King looks effortlessly cool with the sunglasses and collar up combo, and completes another tidy spell of bowling.

She was already pretty box office but I reckon she's going to gain a lot more fans after this tournament.

We're halfway through. 74 from 48 balls required.

Ellyse Perry can take a while to get going.

  18. Phoenix 40-2published at 52 balls left

Ellyse Perry is the new batter, who starred in Birmingham Phoenix's win over Welsh Fire a couple of days ago.

And Alana King is going to bowl 10 in a row. A gamble, but the right move. They've got to get Perry out early.

Eve Jones has had a tough one there. She's struggled to build any sort of momentum. The footwork wasn't quite there for that dismissal.

There is work to do for the Phoenix now.
