The pressure tells on Eve Jones.

Alana King with the breakthrough - who else?!

Jones gets a thick edge through to the wicketkeeper Abbey Freeborn, who takes a very smart catch because those go quicker than they look.

That is a good option for Amy Jones. She is strong down the ground, particularly off spin.

    There it is!

Amy Jones the saviour, skipping down the pitch with the elegance of a ballet dancer and plonking the ball over the ropes for the first four in what seems like forever.

End of the powerplay, and the Rockets will be happy to have sent Devine back to the dressing room.

Still a long way to go. They're still three or four quick wickets from being on top.

It looked like a slower ball from Nat Sciver. It was intelligently bowled into the surface so Sophie Devine couldn't get under it and it just went upwards.

    Devine c King b Sciver 16 (Phoenix 22-1)

The captain gets the breakthrough and it's the big one!

Sophie Devine tries to go for an almighty shot, but sighs and droops her head literally as soon as she hit it, aware of her fate.

It hangs in the air for a long time but Alana King makes no mistake on the boundary. Lovely.

Oh! Luck for Eve Jones as she takes a big swing, gets it all wrong and it flies up into the air but somehow lands safely between three fielders.

Sophie Devine continues to attack though, sweeping the last ball of King's leg-spin for four.

Here's a quick explainer on the art of leg-spin, and just how difficult it is.

I like this. Nat Sciver goes to her gun bowler Alana King early and she beats Eve Jones' bat twice to start.

This'll be a big test for the Phoenix batters.

Kathryn Bryce brings back a bit of control for the Rockets, just two coming from her first five.

But they need a wicket or two. And quickly.

A lot is about discipline there. If you can hold a line and length then it can be difficult to score so it is important to do that as a bowler.

That's not going to help Katherine Brunt's mood but she can't complain too much, it's a bad ball.

Short, wide and Sophie Devine effortlessly guides it for four.

Even though Katherine Brunt brought out the teapot it was a valiant attempt from the fielder. She has created a wicket-taking opportunity though.

    Ooooh, nearly!

Brunt bowls a short ball, Devine plonks it up in the air and Alana King puts in a heroic effort to catch it but doesn't get there, the ball bouncing underneath her and away for four.

Brunt is livid but I'm not calling it a drop. It's a brave attempt.
