Deandra Dottin struck a superb half-century and took 2-21 as Manchester Originals edged Welsh Fire in a thriller at Old Trafford.
West Indies international Dottin hit a fantastic 67 off 37 balls as the Originals posted 156-2.
The Fire's chase was led by Hayley Matthews' 69 from 41 with the visitors eventually finishing 11 runs short on 145-3.
The win saw the Originals move up to sixth in the table with one victory and one defeat; the Fire remain bottom, yet to record a win.
Here's what also happened:
- Emma Lamb hit a measured 35 off 41 for the Originals before Sophie Ecclestone scored 36 runs in a late 18-ball cameo.
- The Fire raced to 110-0 off 71 balls in reply and looked set for the win before three wickets in 11 deliveries pegged them back.
- Skipper Tammy Beaumont (45 off 42) and Fran Wilson (12 from 10) were unable to see the visitors over the line.
