  1. Invincibles 17-0published at 90 balls left

Need 64 more runs to win

Winfield-Hill has seen enough. After just a couple of singles from Freya Davies' first three balls, the Invincibles opener pumps the fourth over the top for four.

The last ball is on the pads and Winfield-Hill just flicks it fine and an untidy bit of fielding allows the ball to trickle into the boundary cushion for four more.

Both of these batters have been in great form in this tournament. They'll play aggressively, they won't approach it any differently just because it's a low total.

  3. Invincibles 7-0published at 95 balls left

Need 74 more runs to win

A single for Lauren Winfield-Hill brings Suzie Bates on strike for the first time. The Kiwi just defends the last couple, content to have a look first - at least for a ball or two.

  4. Invincibles 4-0published at 99 balls left

Need 77 more runs to win

It's been one of those days for the Spirit. An outside edge from Winfield-Hill and the ball gets past short third and away to the boundary.

Right then, the players are back out. Lauren Winfield-Hill is set to face the first ball from Megan Schutt. Here we go...

Those bowling figures are very impressive for the Oval Invincibles as you might expect when you've bowled a team out for 80.

Mady Villiers, in particular, was sensational. She got things started with those two early wickets and the Invincibles never looked back.

Thanks, Josef. I'm going to say the chances are slim in the extreme.

This could all be over extremely quickly if the Invincibles fancy it. They'll want to make absolutely sure, though. A win secures them a place in the Eliminator.

Sam Drury will digest those 97 balls and take you through the Invincibles' chase.

Sam, is there any way the Spirit can win this game?

This is going to be a very quick game! London Spirit will be very disappointed. They didn't start well and it's always hard to recover and bat with intent.

But all credit to Oval Invincibles, they have all been brilliant.

  11. Oval Invincibles need 81 runs to winpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 27 August 2022
    Breaking

The third lowest score in the women's Hundred, EVER.

The Invincibles need just 81 runs to win in 100 balls and qualify for the knockouts. The Spirits chances of reaching the eliminator are hanging on by the thinnest of threads.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 97 balls

Schutt b Gray 3 (Spirit 80 all out)

Eva Gray takes out Megan Schutt's stumps.

That's the innings. All out in 97 balls.

  13. Spirit 80-9published at 96 balls

    Ballinger 1, Schutt 3

But I could be wrong. The Spirit start with a single of Eva Gray's next ball.

  14. Spirit 79-9published at 95 balls

Two dots to finish. I think the Spirit are happy to block now and spare themselves the embarrassment of being all-out.

  15. Spirit 79-9published at 93 balls

    Seven balls to go.

  16. Spirit 77-9published at 91 balls

Alice Capsey returns to the attack and starts with a dot.

The Welsh Fire managed 87 the other day. I think that's the lowest score in this year's edition.

Freya Davies can't be blamed there, she had to go for it. There are nowhere near enough runs on the board.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 90 balls

    Davies b Ismail 5 (Spirit 77-9)

A wide is followed up with a yorker.

You miss, I hit. Ismail has her wicket.

  20. Spirit 76-8published at 89 balls

A rare boundary as Freya Davies splits the fielders with a pull for four.
