  1. Phoenix 11-2published at 85 balls left

    Target 123

Australia's Ellyse Perry is the new batter.

This partnership between Perry and New Zealand captain Sophie Devine is going to be the key one in this chase now you feel.

Originals will want to break it quickly. As a result they've turned to England left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone.

That is the end of Amy Jones, looking to give herself room and carve it on the offside. Now, there's early pressure building for the Phoenix.

    Bowled her!

The left-arm spin of Hannah Jones was looking to cramp Amy Jones for work and it works.

Amy Jones looks to shuffle away to the leg side to create some room, but she ends up getting bowled.

This has been a brilliant start from Manchester Originals.

  4. Phoenix 10-1published at 88 balls left

A first look at spin in this Phoenix chase and it brings the first boundary of the innings too.

Hannah Jones strays onto the pads of Amy Jones and the England wicketkeeper is able to sweep fine and away to the boundary.

  5. Phoenix 5-1published at 90 balls left

    Target 123

Tidy start from Grace Potts, who is only 20.

She concedes just two singles from their opening five balls.

There is a little bit of early pressure on Birmingham Phoenix here.

The keeper is up for Grace Potts [who will bowl the second set], so you'd imagine there will be plenty of slower balls and cutters.

  7. Phoenix 3-1published at 95 balls left

    Target 123

England wicketkeeper Amy Jones is the new batter, and she also plays a loose shot to her first ball but the delivery goes past the edge this time.

Jones and Phoenix captain Sophie Devine both get off the mark with singles.

    An intriguing start.

Easy as you like! That's catching practice. That's the perfect start for the Manchester Originals.

    E Jones c Lee b Cross 0 (Phoenix 1-1)

    Great start for the Originals!

Another loose shot from Eve Jones and she picks out the hands of Lizelle Lee, who just has to move a yard to her right to take the catch at chest height.

Captain Kate Cross looks delighted with that start.

  10. Phoenix 0-0published at 99 balls left

    Target 123

Oh! Kate Cross beats the outside edge of a loose shot from Eve Jones to start.

Originals have got Sophie Ecclestone in at slip at the moment. They know they need wickets if they are going to win this game.

The two sides are making their way back out as Birmingham Phoenix prepare to chase 123.

Remember if they win today then they are guaranteed a place in the knockout stages alongside Southern Brave and Oval Invincibles.

The final group-stage games between Monday and Wednesday would work out which of these three sides would automatically go through to next Saturday's final and which two will play in Friday's eliminator.

Birmingham Phoenix's Emily Arlott to Sky Sports: "I thought the pitch was great, all credit to the groundspeople here, they really look after us. There was good pace and bounce.

"I've spent a lot of time during the winter working on slower balls. I reflected on that last year and I got found out a little bit and some balls weren't working. I've been a lot clearer on my plans and at the top of my mark and i know exactly what I'm going to bowl and I back myself."

    Thanks Ffion.

Manchester Originals were 41-0 off the powerplay and 81-6 from other 75 balls in the innings. That largely tells the story.

There were 46 dot balls in the innings too. That's far too many.

Manchester Originals are going to have to bowl very well here if they are going to defend 123.

Sophie Ecclestone played a valuable role with the bat there, and how key will she be with the ball?

Here's Callum Matthews to take you through the chase.

I get the feeling the Originals might be disappointed given the start they had from the opening batters.

They might be a few short, but having said that, we saw a few slower balls grip so you never know.

  17. Originals 122-6published at 100 balls

A brilliant fightback from the Birmingham Phoenix after the Originals were well on top in the powerplay.

Remember, if Phoenix win this they're through to the knockouts and the top three will be cemented.

They will need 123 runs to win.

Lovely little battle between Arlott and Ecclestone. And Arlott comes out on top in this final set!

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 99 balls

    Ecclestone b Arlott 20 (Originals 121-6)

Perfect response from Arlott. Slower ball, nice and full and Ecclestone takes a big heave and misses.

    A valuable cameo from Ecclestone.

  20. Originals 121-5published at 98 balls

Brilliant from Threlkeld as she calls Ecclestone through for a risky two to make sure she's on strike.

They make it back as Amy Jones misses a chance of a run out.
