  1. Fire 74-5published at 75 balls

Katie George is the new batter and will likely look to play a support role and allow Nicola Carey to take the initiative.

That's great work from Georgia Davis off her own bowling. She had to turn around, transfer her weight, and she just gave herself that little bit of time to get in line with the stumps before taking aim.

This is devastating for the Welsh Fire. There was a partnership building, and just when they were looking to accelerate a wicket falls.

Bryce run out (Davis) 23 (Fire 73-5)

She didn't! Sarah Bryce is run out by a distance. Well done Georgia Davis.

A bitter blow for Welsh Fire just as these two batters were getting going.

  5. Umpire reviewpublished at 73 balls

Is this a run out? It is an outstanding piece of fielding from Georgia Davis as she fields off her own bowling and the throw is a direct hit.

Sarah Bryce goes for the dive but the look on her face suggests she did not get home in time.

Looking at this wicket, it's a bit sticky. Perhaps, it's keeping low. They should be on for a good total, Welsh Fire, but you got to reassess what's a good total here.

Outstanding diving effort in the deep. A couple of brilliant pieces of work in the outfield from the Rockets, saving two boundaries.

  8. Fire 70-4published at 70 balls

They are not just on it with the ball, Trent Rockets are on it in the field as well as two outstanding pieces of fielding in the deep from Mignon du Preez and Nat Sciver saves two boundaries.

With Rockets likely needing a big win to have a chance of reaching the eliminator, every run counts.

This surface suits Trent Rockets so well. They have such good spinners.

  10. Fire 63-4published at 65 balls

Trent Rockets will not mind this at all. They are offering the Welsh Fire batters zero width and it is proving difficult for them to get the ball off the square.

We haven't had a boundary for 42 balls.

  11. Fire 60-4published at 60 balls

Alana King returns for her second set. It is a bit hit and miss though as it includes a wide and a full toss that is only hit straight to the fielder at deep mid-wicket for two runs.

Sarah Bryce moves onto 18 from 21 deliveries. She has survived the early carnage but now needs to put her foot on the accelerator.

I have a soft spot for the Ageas Bowl. It's purely sentimental, but I absolutely loved it there.

This is my favourite ground in the country. I just prefer it over the others.

  14. Fire 55-4published at 55 balls

Elyse Villani is definitely mixing things up. Georgia Davis becomes the seventh bowler so far this innings.

Just the four singles from it too. Fire have stemmed the flow of wickets but they need to start hitting some boundaries and fast.

Welsh Fire definitely do need these two to carry on. That was a poor delivery from Glenn, but it's just gone between the legs of the batter.

  16. Fire 51-4published at 50 balls

Some more spin now as Sarah Glenn comes into the attack.

Ooh, and that's unlucky. A delivery from Glenn keeps extremely low, escapes through Nicola Carey's legs and disappears away for four byes. That could have easily clattered onto the stumps.

Fire reach the halfway stage on 51-4. Plenty of work needed if they are to get up to a competitive total.

  17. Fire 43-4published at 45 balls

Nicola Carey is the new batter. She hit a handy 19 from 13 balls in Fire's win over Superchargers on Friday. The pressure is on to go even higher this time.

Katherine Brunt continues to bowl a perfect line and length, cramping the Fire batters for width and forcing them to take a few risky runs.

Just three singles from that set. Brunt has now conceded just eight runs from her 15 balls so far. Brilliant bowling.

Trent Rockets have shown tremendous energy since the first five or so balls. They have bowled wicket-to-wicket and are on top.

It's been perfect line and length so far from Smith.

That is another one! The home fans are on their feet. It never looked like Wilson got to the pitch of that ball.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 39 balls

    Wilson c Villani b Smith 4 (Fire 40-4)

Instead it is Bryony Smith who returns for her second set - and she gets her second wicket!

Fran Wilson looks to hit the ball over the top but does not get enough on it and Elyse Villani runs round from mid-off to take a routine catch.

Welsh Fire in a bit of a hole now.
