This was a redemption game for India. They did in the field, with the ball and with the bat.

It was a game for the senior players too. It was important that they did that.

It was good to get that confidence back after the last game.

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur on BBC Four: "The way we corrected Saturday was something that we've discussed and I'm glad that we've been able to do that.

"It was really important for us that we executed our plans and I'm really happy with how the bowlers executed them today.

"We knew that batting would be tricky if we could turn the ball. There was a little bit of grass on the pitch so we were bowling accordingly to that as well.

"I was definitely looking to bowl but I just thought if we went with our bowling attack, rather than trying too much today, because it was a really important game for us.

"We didn't bat as we wanted in the first game so we spoke about wanting to be a bit braver today and backing ourselves.

"The game is very important on Thursday. Whenever we get to that final game in World Cups or Commonwealth Games we are always nervous so it is a good opportunity for us to get used to that sort of thing and express ourselves."

England's Maia Bouchier, speaking on BBC Four: "I felt good with the bat, I think we were a bit short on runs but the partnership Freya and I had got us up to a good score.

"We spoke about playing to our strengths, which is hitting down the ground. We play together for Southern Vipers which helps.

"Kempy as a left-hander is key for us and she played really well."
