  18. Action set to finally start at Malahidepublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 26 June 2022

    Ireland v India

At last! After a long rain delay we are set to start a 12-over game at 18:50 BST. Let's hope we get a finish at The Village.

Ireland have gained a deserved reputation as cricket's giant killers with the Boys in Green chalking up famous World Cup victories over Pakistan, England and West Indies.

Overcoming the world's best T20 team might by the toughest of asks but Ireland are relishing the chance to take another big scalp with a first ever win over India today.

It's the first of two T20s between the sides at Malahide - India easily prevailed at the same venue in another double-header four years ago.

India are missing some of their big guns but they still are firm favourites against a side sitting 13 places below them in the T20 rankings.

And it's also a big day for the fans as crowds return to an Ireland men's home international for the first time since 2019 following the Covid-19 pandemic.

India's support easily outnumbered that of the hosts in 2018, bringing colour and exurberance to this little ground just north of Dublin and it's more of the same today.

Welcome to our coverage as we take you through the action from the first ball to the last!
