  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 21 balls left

    Stubbs c Dawson b Crane 18 (Originals 132-5)

Another one down... London Spirit are not going away.

Stubbs reaches for another one but doesn't get to the pitch this time. It's a loose shot and the ball comes off the outside edge and Liam Dawson holds onto a low catch.

This is getting very nervy now.

  2. Originals 132-4published at 23 balls left

    Need 19 more to win

Width from Crane, Stubbs reaches for it and slaps the ball away for four.

    Less than 20 to win...

  3. Originals 127-4published at 25 balls left

    Need 24 more to win

Ashton Turner comes in and takes two from the last ball of the set.

Originals need 24 from 25 balls. It's theirs to lose but it feels like this one could go right down to the wire.

The worm shows Manchester Originals Men are 18 runs ahead of London Spirit Men. Manchester Originals Men are 127 for 4 after 75 balls. At the same stage London Spirit Men were 109 for 4.

Ellis is holding his head, I think, because of the two boundaries. That's how quickly this game can change! I think this game is very much in the balance.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 26 balls left

    Madsen b Ellis 4 (Originals 125-4)

Brilliant yorker and he's cleaned him up! Nathan Ellis could not have executed that any better, right in at Wayne Madsen's toes, a little bit of in-swing late and the ball clatters into middle stump.

London Spirit are not going to go down without a fight.

He'll be disappointed with that, Nathan Ellis. That was not the field for this sort of bowling, but he's just overpitched it.

  7. Originals 124-3published at 28 balls left

    Need 27 more to win

That might get the Originals moving again. In the slot from Ellis and powered back over the bowler's head by Stubbs for four.

Four more! Whipped away leg side now by Stubbs. The pressure is relieved and the Originals are cruising again - for now.

  8. Originals 116-3published at 30 balls left

    Need 35 more to win

The squeeze is on. Wood backs up Thompson with another very tidy set.

Since Salt and Evans have fallen, the Originals have lost all momentum. They should still get over the line comfortably but that no longer looks a given.

That was a brilliant set from Thompson. Eoin Morgan is so calm in these situations, he never looks like he's under pressure.

The worm shows Manchester Originals Men are 20 runs ahead of London Spirit Men. Manchester Originals Men are 113 for 3 after 65 balls. At the same stage London Spirit Men were 93 for 2.
  10. Originals 113-3published at 35 balls left

    Need 38 more to win

That's a very good set from Thompson, just two singles from it.

The London Spirit couldn't, could they?

Jordan Thompson has taken a bit of stick so far tonight but he is coming back on to try and ramp up the pressure on the Originals.

  12. Originals 111-3published at 40 balls

    Need 40 more to win

Still a run-a-ball for the Originals and Wayne Madsen and Tristan Stubbs are happy to just work the singles for the time being.

Get through a couple more sets without losing a wicket, maybe a boundary and the Originals should be pretty much there. Another wicket though...

What a catch from Morgan! Three wickets out in no time, well, well. He absolutely leathered that, it was a cross-batted heave. The Walter experiment failed.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 43 balls left

    Walter c Morgan b Ellis 4 (Originals 108-3)

Nailed but superbly caught! Three quick wickets and this could get very interesting.

It was a slower ball from Nathan Ellis, Walter picked it and absolutely hammered it into the off side. A yard higher or to either side and it would have been four but, as it was, Eoin Morgan was there and held onto a very, very sharp chance.

The Originals are still in control but the Spirit are a chance all of a sudden.

  15. Originals 108-2published at 45 balls left

    Need 45 more to win

Interesting. Paul Walter is in at number four and gets off the mark with four back down the ground.

Laurie Evans has played a match-winning knock here. He's put Manchester in sight of victory single-handedly. He acknowledges his family in the family stand and claps himself off too. That's just how well he played.

Both openers out in the space of four balls. Maybe, just maybe London Spirit are clawing their way back into it.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 47 balls left

    Evans c Lawrence b Crane 72 (Originals 104-2)

The end of a fabulous innings from Laurie Evans - can the Spirit get back into this?

That's the big one for the Spirit. Evans connected well with the sweep shot but the ball carried all the way to Dan Lawrence in the deep.

Evans takes the applause of the crowd but he looks rather frustrated with himself. If London Spirit are to fight their way back, now is the time.

If the London Spirit are to win this game, they just have to get Evans out and do it real soon.
