There was no doubt this was a Brave supporting crowd earlier today but it’s neutral now. Who will they go for here? There was polite applause rather than cheers for that early wicket.

  2. Spirit 10-1published at 5 balls

And follows it with four more, drilled through the off side.

    Ben McDermott isn't messing about.

The fast you bowl it, the further it goes. Hit high, McDermott is on his way.

  4. 6 runs

    Spirit 6-1published at 4 balls

That's a decent way to get the first runs of the game!

Ben McDermott smashes his second ball into the stands. Shot.

Josh Little is on fire! It was angled down the leg side and wasn't a good delivery but when things are going your way, they are indeed.

    Rossington c Salt b Little 0 (Spirit 0-1)

And he strikes second ball! What a start for the Originals!

Short and fast from Josh Little and Adam Rossington can't resist trying to whack it. But it rushes him and he gets a glove on it through to the keeper!

Little now has 10 wickets in just four games in The Hundred. What a signing!

  7. Spirit 0-0published at 1 ball

Josh Little, who took 5-13 in Originals' last outing against Oval Invincibles, start well with a dot ball.

Time to find out who will join Trent Rockets at Lord's tomorrow.

London Spirit finished bottom of the table last year so reaching the eliminator has been an incredible achievement.

Zak Crawley and Adam Rossington are in the middle for them. Here we go!

I'm still catching my breath from the first game. It was extraordinary from Nat Sciver.

This men's game should be good.

Manchester Originals captain Laurie Evans:"We would have batted too.

"We have won five in a row playing without fear, just enjoying ourselves and we have gelled so well as a group. It has been really enjoyable.

"After three losses we didn't expect to even be here so the pressure is off us. Hopefully we can put on a good show and a good game of cricket."

London Spirit captain Eoin Morgan: "The conditions look good and we fancy posting a reasonable score to defend.

"We have got so many positives to take from the campaign so far, it has been magnificent compared to last year!

"I am pleased by how we have performed all-round with both bat and ball, but we are going to give it absolutely everything tonight."

  14. London Spirit win the toss and choose to bat firstpublished at 18:20 British Summer Time 2 September 2022

Eoin Morgan calls correctly, and we're going to see the men in blue bat first.

It's a high-pressure game but for someone like Morgan, who has played in World Cup finals, he probably doesn't feel any nerves at all. How big an asset will his captaincy be for Spirit tonight?

Manchester Originals are in sparkling form and peaking just at the right time in the competition, with five wins on the bounce having lost their first three.

In contrast, London Spirit got off to a flyer, winning their first four. But they've also lost their most recent two.

Can Originals keep their momentum going, or will Spirit recapture theirs?

  16. Welcomepublished at 18:15 British Summer Time 2 September 2022

    Good evening!

We may have only just recovered from Nat Sciver's last-minute heroics as Trent Rockets fell agonisingly short of reaching the women's Hundred final, but there's no time to dwell on that.

Southern Brave will make the trip to Lord's tomorrow, but who will take their place in the men's final - Manchester Originals or London Spirit?
