In the early hours, England secured a Twenty20 series win over West Indies with a 17-run win in Barbados.

Sophia Dunkley's 44 and Heather Knight's 43 helped England post 157-6 batting first.

West Indies' batters put in an improved performance after a poor series, but Charlie Dean took 4-19 to restrict them to 140-8 from their 20 overs.

The result gives England an unassailable 3-0 lead with two games remaining.

England's first-innings total was the highest of the series so far, and was always going to be a big ask of the West Indies, whose highest ever T20 chase is 151.

But the hosts started their chase brightly, reaching 55-1 after the opening powerplay before a double-wicket maiden from Dean, that included the prize wicket of Hayley Matthews for 35, changed the course of the game.

Mitchell Starc has taken his 300th Test wicket while Pat Cummins and Scott Boland have two each.

Earlier, Australia were dismissed for 218, giving them a lead of 66.

Rehan Ahmed is younger than Facebook, Strictly Come Dancing and professional T20 cricket.

His father is only two years older than James Anderson, who was playing in his 10th Test on the day Ahmed was born.

In cricketing terms, leg-spinner Ahmed has always done things in a hurry.

He was bowling googlies, flippers and sliders before the age of 10. By 11 he was dismissing England captains past and present, Alastair Cook and Ben Stokes, in the nets at Lord's.

A year later he was impressing the late, great Shane Warne.

It may have only been two wickets but, given his age and his lack of experience, Rehan Ahmed made an impressive start to life as England's youngest male Test cricketer on day one of the third Test.

His two scalps helped England dismiss Pakistan for 304 on a flat pitch.

The hosts, though, hit back with the wicket of Zak Crawley in the closing moments to take some of the shine off England's day.

England are on top but not definitively.
