  1. 50 runs

50 for Harry Brookpublished at 37.5 overs

'Catch it!' is the cry as Harry Brook top-edges a sweep shot into the air - but it lands short of the fielder running in from deep square leg and Brook runs two to bring up his 50.

    His brilliant series continues.

  2. Not outpublished at 08:12 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2022

He had hit the ball into the ground before it was caught. Not out.

  3. Umpire reviewpublished at 37.3 overs

Have Pakistan got Harry Brook here? He inside edges a full delivery that is caught at short leg.

The umpires send it upstairs, though my first thought was he had jammed the ball into the ground first before it looped up to the fielder.

  4. Eng 152-5published at 37.2 overs

That's a rare rotten delivery from Abrar Ahmed and Harry Brook punishes him.

It is far too short and Brook has plenty of time to rock back and smash the ball through long-on for four.

It's a tough ask for Wasim because this pitch isn't offering anything for the seamers.

  6. Eng 147-5published at 37 overs

There's still not much out there for the seamers as Mohammad Wasim Jnr continues.

He does lure Harry Brook into a false stroke with a delivery that keeps a little low outside off stump.

We have just seen a shot of hundreds of birds hovering menacingly overhead. If you are eating any food in Karachi I'd finish it off quickly.

  7. Eng 147-5published at 36 overs

Pakistan have been visibly boosted by that Stokes wicket. Mohammad Rizwan is very chirpy behind the stumps as Abrar Ahmed continues,

He completely bamboozles Ben Foakes with a googly that beats his inside edge and narrowly misses the stumps.

You feel another wicket could arrive at any time.

    This is tense.

  8. Eng 146-5published at 35 overs

Ben Stokes' thumbs up to Harry Brook is also perhaps an awareness of how much responsibility now rests on his shoulders.

He has to anchor the innings if England are to get close to Pakistan's first innings score you'd think.

We've seen something quite rare. Both captains have been run out in this match and that's only happened twice before.

    England trail by 158

This could be a really crucial hour of this Test match. Pakistan see an opening to England's tail now and if they take advantage could end up with a hefty first-innings lead.

You could see Stokes is frustrated. But he has taken that split second to calm the situation down. That's good captaincy.

Ben Foakes is the new batter.

Stokes gave the thumbs up to Brook as he left the field, obviously keen not to blame the young Yorkshire player for the mix-up.

Oh dear me, Stokes is run out! He ran the entire length of the pitch!

Oh my. Ben Stokes and Harry Brook have got into an awful mix-up.

Brook pushes it into the on-side where it is fielded on the mid-wicket boundary by Azhar Ali.

They comfortably ran two runs but the third was always a risk, and when Brook changed his mind Stokes was caught in the middle of the pitch and run out by a distance.

A bonus wicket for Pakistan. How significant could that prove to be?

The TMS team say there is more rough for Abrar Ahmed to aim for at this end.

He is on the money first up with a full, teasing length, with Harry Brook playing out a watchful maiden over.

It will be seam at the other end as Mohammad Wasim Jnr limbers up.

Here come Ben Stokes and Harry Brook out to the middle.

Change of ends for Abrar Ahmed, who will open the afternoon session.

There's a fella in the media room at lunch wearing a Coventry United jacket. According to their Twitter page, they are in the United Counties Premier Division South. I'm intrigued to know our man's link to them.

  19. England secure T20 series win over West Indiespublished at 07:35 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2022

In case you missed it in the early hours, England secured a Twenty20 series win over West Indies with a 17-run win in Barbados.

Sophia Dunkley's 44 and Heather Knight's 43 helped England post 157-6 batting first.

West Indies' batters put in an improved performance after a poor series, but Charlie Dean took 4-19 to restrict them to 140-8 from their 20 overs.

The result gives England an unassailable 3-0 lead with two games remaining.
