Lanning is motoring, Healy is ticking, Australia are firing.

This could be a tricky 11 overs for New Zealand. They desperately need some breakthroughs.

  2. Aus 69-1published at 9 overs

This may be the best shot of the lot. Meg Lanning dances down to Eden Carson and with a flick of the wrists sends the ball whistling into the boundary sponge.

If you grab a dictionary, flick through to the word dismissive you'd see this shot.

Oh and the Aussie skipper creams another to end the over too.

    New Zealand are chasing leather.

  4. Aus 56-1published at 8 overs

    Healy 25, Lanning 29

That's a better over from Jess Kerr. Just two singles come from it.

  5. Aus 54-1published at 7 overs

A good sliding stop from Sophie Devine stops more runs flowing. The sun has almost set now but it is lighting the ground, and the imposing mountains behind, in a beautiful orange glow.

Amelia Kerr is the key bowler for New Zealand in my opinion. They have turned to her straight out of the powerplay to try and make the breakthrough.

  7. Aus 51-1published at 6.1 overs

It feels like the boundaries are coming every other ball. Amelia Kerr, the younger Kerr sister, starts with one down the leg side.

Meg Lanning gets it past short fine leg and there's no catching it after that.

  8. Aus 47-1published at 6 overs

    Healy 23, Lanning 22

The powerplay ends with, yes you guessed it, another boundary. This time it's Alyssa Healy whacking the ball over the infield on the offside.

There are runs to be had on this pitch. We saw that when England chased 136 inside 15 overs earlier.

  9. Aus 42-1published at 5.2 overs

And another four! This is dominant batting from Lanning and Healy.

Australia are so quick to pick up any sort of length. They always put away the bad ball and that puts so much pressure on the bowling side.

  11. Aus 38-1published at 5 overs

But it must be said Australia have not taken a backward step since the early loss of Beth Mooney.

Meg Lanning swats away the sixth four in the past 14 deliveries.

    How good was this?!

There's almost an arrogance about that shot from Alyssa Healy. She stood there and held the pose. So dismissive.

  14. Aus 33-1published at 4 overs

    Healy 19, Lanning 12

Back-to-back boundaries to end Kerr's over from Alyssa Healy. He stands and admires the first while chewing on her gum.

    A boss.

Jess Kerr is the first of New Zealand's two sisters to enter the bowling attack. We'll see leggie Amelia before long I'm sure.

Jess' first ball is edged for four by Meg Lanning.

If that's not a statement of intent I don't know what is.

  17. Aus 20-1published at 3 overs

Meg Lanning joins the boundary-hitting party with an imperious flick off her pads. It sails through the air towards the setting sun before bouncing just inside the rope.

Healy puts away a full toss to end the over too.

Alyssa Healy is such an imposing batter to bowl at. She hits the ball so hard. Lose your length for a second and it's gone.

  19. Aus 10-1published at 2 overs

    Healy 7, Lanning 2

Brilliant from Alyssa Healy who rocks back and cuts left-arm spinner Fran Jonas to the boundary. Healy has seen this all before.
