Bangladesh are ticking along nicely at six per over. Unfortunately they need to go at 15 per over.

When you play a big side like New Zealand you're not looking at winning the whole game. You've got to win moments.

  6. Ban 96-3published at 14 overs

    Not yet.

Kerr bowls full and Shorna Akter slaps it towards backward point. There's a dive from short third but it wasn't enough to stop the ball.

However, Eden Carson is in pursuit and stops the boundary. Bangladesh take a couple.

Earlier New Zealand's Amelia Kerr got out Bangladesh's skipper Nigar Sultana Joty. Can she get another wicket this over?

My word if that had hit the pads that would have been out!

  9. Ban 90-3published at 13 overs

Hannah Rowe aims the ball at leg-stump but Shorna Akter hits it towards fine leg for four.

The next ball is very full and Akter hits a very straight on-drive and the ball races away to the boundary once again.

Bangladesh are currently fourth in the table and have lost the two games they have played.

At 24 off 31, Murshida is at this stage where you have to try and either whack it or get out.

  11. Ban 78-3published at 12 overs

Jess Kerr is bowling full yorkers. Shorna Akter can't find the boundary in this over. She only collects a couple of twos towards mid-wicket.

Bangladesh need two or three boundaries per over now. And they've got to run hard as well, something New Zealand did so much better than them.

Suzie Bates doesn't bowl as much as she used to. But you never know, when you're on such good form with the bat...

It's a loose ball from New Zealand's Suzie Bates and Murshida Khatun's finds the gap between the fielders at cover to get another boundary.

Three more singles added to the total before New Zealand turn back to pace bowler Jess Kerr.

  16. Ban 64-3published at 9.4 overs

Shorna Akter hits Amelia Kerr's next ball for four into the leg side.

Kerr responds with another googly and Akter hits it towards fine leg for another four!

  17. Not outpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2023

    Ban 55-3

Shorna's backfoot was in the crease and she's safe.

Impressive glovework from Bernadine Bezuidenhout, though.

  18. Umpire reviewpublished at 9.3 overs

Half a chance of stumping but there's no real appeal from New Zealand.

The square-leg umpire wants a look anyway.

That's really poor batting. She played and missed a couple before, it doesn't turn it just sort of skids on. That's really poor judgement.

    It's a well-deserved wicket for Amelia Kerr.
