  1. Eng 41-1published at 5.2 overs

Bit of spin for Bangladesh as Nasum Ahmed enters the attack. He opened the bowling in the first T20, but we've had to wait until the sixth over today.

Salt wallops him through the covers and the ball scuds off the legs of the fielder and off to the boundary. Frustrating for the new bowler.

  2. Eng 37-1published at 5 overs

Lovely shot from Salt as he takes a step back and crunches Taskin through the covers.

He made 38 in the first T20 as England made an impressive start before falling away. That was part of an 80-run opening stand with Jos Buttler, who we're still waiting for today.

  3. Eng 29-1published at 4 overs

Salt takes the single to retain the strike.

Taskin is to continue at the other end as he hunts for another wicket.

  4. 6 runs

    Eng 28-1published at 3.5 overs

    First six of the innings!

Too short from Mustafizur and Salt lifts it over the leg-side boundary.

  5. Eng 21-1published at 3.4 overs

Chance of another run-out as the England pair take a run after the ball comes off Moeen's pads.

Rahim lobs the ball at the wicket with his gloves still on - it's close but Salt would just have made it home.

Tea on day four of the fourth Test in Ahmedabad and the match between India and Australia appears to be meandering to a draw.

India are 472-5 in their first innings - eight runs short of Australia's first innings total of 480 all out - with Virat Kohli unbeaten on 135.

Kohli brought up his century - his first in Tests since November 2019 - off 241 balls. Ravindra Jadeja (28) and wicketkeeper Srikar Bharat (44) the two wickets to fall on an attritional day.

India lead the series 2-1 and have already retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, they must win the final Test to guarantee their place, alongside Australia, in June's World Test Championship at The Oval.

A draw or defeat would open the door for Sri Lanka, who would need to beat New Zealand 2-0. The Black Caps are 28-1 at the close on day four of the first Test in Christchurch in pursuit of 284 they need for victory.

  7. Eng 21-1published at 3 overs

Almost another! Moeen slashes at his second delivery, it's just out of the despairing reach of the leaping slip fielder and the ball races away for four.

Moeen hurries through for a single off a miss-field at point off the final ball, surviving a throw to the bowler's end. He hesitated half-way down, but it was fairly comfortable.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.2 overs

    Malan c Hasan Mahmud b Taskin 5 (Eng 16-1)

The Malan opener experiment comes to an early end!

Big swing and a miss from Malan to Taskin's first delivery, he does get bat on ball for the following delivery, trying to heave it over mid-wicket. But he doesn't get hold of it at all and the ball spirals to the fielder at third.

Here comes Moeen - we will have to wait for Buttler.

  9. Eng 16-0published at 2 overs

Strong over from Mustafizur, who now elicits the edge from Malan. This time it drops short of slip.

Malan follows by lofting the ball the ball over the same fielder but there's a deep fielder to keep it to a single.

  10. Eng 14-0published at 1.1 overs

Mustafizur Rahman takes the other end and steams in in this 34-degree heat. He draws an edge from Salt but it passes wide of first slip for another four.

  11. Eng 10-0published at 1 overs

Shaping inwards from Taskin, who clips Malan's Achilles. Big shout for lbw from the seamer as the ball races away to the ropes. Shakib doesn't look bothered about reviewing it and replays show it to be a fair way outside the line.

Malan turns Taskin around for four off the bat, pulling comfortably and the ball hurries away to the boundary.

Good morning. Brrrrr. it's a chilly one out there isn't it?

We've got something to warm your cockles this Sunday morning, though.

England won the T20 World Cup last November, but promptly lost their first match in the format since then - a six-wicket defeat to Bangladesh last Thursday.

Jos Buttler will want to put that right pretty quickly you imagine.

Welcome to our live text commentary of the second T20 International from the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
