Kent skipper Sam Billings is searching for inspiration.
He's just set an unorthodox field in Joey Evison's last over, a maiden, and has now thrown the ball to Daniel Bell-Drummond, the partnership breaker, as he's known in the Garden of England.

Rob Yates produces a gorgeous, effortless cover drive off Michael Hogan to move to 94.

The highlights of this one are going to be worth watching later.
Essex v Lancs 124-6
George Bell takes nine from Jamie Porter's latest over, including a lovely, wristy cut shot that he strokes through backward point for four.
He looks a real talent, the 20-year-old, and he moves to 34 from 78 balls.
Surrey v Hampshire 133-6
Sean Abbott finishes his ninth over by slamming in a short one to Keith Barker which jumps up and catches the big all-rounder in the vicinity of his shoulder.
Though Barker probably enjoys reaching high shelves with ease and getting a good view at concerts, when you're facing Abbott you'd rather be a smaller target.
Northants v Middlesex 123-9
Short from Chris Tremain, and Ryan Higgins pulls powerfully in front of square for four.
It brings up a potentially vital 50 for the Middlesex number seven.

The sun has come out on top in the battle of the weather conditions and Rob Yates has celebrated with another two fours to move onto 86.
Kent need something, anything, to turn the tide. The partnership with Sam Hain is up to 77.
Play finally got under way at 14:15 BST at Grace Road. Leicestershire were put into bat by Derbyshire and are 19-0.
Last week's hero in their stunning victory over Yorkshire, Rishi Patel, is at the crease.
Durham are ticking along nicely against Worcestershire. They're 122-2 with opener Alex Lees just going to his half-century.
Warwickshire 135-2 v Kent
Rob Yates pulls Conor McKerr away for a four to the square leg boundary. Didn't even think about running.
That's 13 fours and that big six in his 78. Kent persist with the shorter stuff and he persists with putting them away.
At this rate Yates won't even get his 10,000 steps in today.
Helm c and b Tremain 4 (Northants v Middlesex 110-9)
A stunning catch!
Tom Helm looks to work Chris Tremain through mid-wicket, but can only get a leading edge back towards the bowler.
Tremain dives full length away to his left and hangs on - brilliant stuff.

The players are drifting back to the pavilion at Trent Bridge.
It's not raining yet, but apparently it's poised to chuck it down in Nottingham.

Surrey v Hampshire 120-6
Ben Brown came in amid the chaos at 39-4, used his experience to put on 49 with Fletcha Middleton and steadied the ship further with Ian Holland. What a crucial knock this could be.
Some gorgeous timing in several of his seven fours and he has a half-century which required a combination of grit and class. His 49th in red-ball cricket.
Essex v Lancs 91-6
I mentioned earlier just how good Sam Cook's first class bowling record is, and thought I'd throw some more stats out there for you.
He now has 224 wickets at a staggering average of 19.82, while his economy sits at just over 2.50.
He's class - anyone else think he'll get an England cap this summer?

Lewis Gregory throws down a wide delivery, which Hameed flashes over the slip cordon for four.

Diving catch and Hampshire are six down.
Ian Holland tries a back-foot drive but flashes the ball to Steel at backward point who takes a flying catch to spark a pile-on.
Keith Barker is next man in. Surrey are relentless.

Kemar Roach with a huge appeal for LBW, down on his haunches, but there might have been the faintest nick off Ben Brown's bat onto the pads and he lives to fight another day.
Roach stalks off disgruntled. Brown breathes for the first time in 20 seconds.

Will Middlesex scrape their way to three figures?
Toby Roland-Jones plays all around a straight one from Jack White, and the umpire's finger is straight up.
Tom Helm strides to the middle to join Ryan Higgins, who has moved onto 31.

It's full and angling in to Colin de Grandhomme, and it creeps between the New Zealander's bat and pad to take out middle stump.
It's great bowling, it really is.
Vilas lbw b Cook 24 (Essex v Lancs 84-5)

I saw a stat on twitter the other day from @McLovinstatto that highlighted just how good the Essex seamer is.
The only bowler to have taken 200 wickets since 1990 in the County Championship at a better average than Cook is Muttiah Muralitharan, and he could bowl a bit.

Rob Yates crumples in a heap in his crease after catching one from Conor McKerr in a central region slightly north of his pads.
