  3. Yorkshire up and runningpublished at 22:02 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

Yorkshire beat Lancashire by 15 runs

After shelling their first three games, Yorkshire now win two in two and their competition is belatedly up and running.

They're sixth in the table but have played at least one more game than every other team around them.

Lancashire remain third but have now lost back-to-back games after winning their first three.

Derbyshire leapfrog Northants into seventh after beating Leicestershire, with the Foxes rooted to the foot of the table with four straight defeats.

And in the South group, Essex are third after back-to-back wins, while Sussex sit sixth with one win in three.

  4. 'Maybe we got the toss wrong'published at 21:58 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

Result: Yorkshire beat Lancashire by 15 runs

Lancashire captain Liam Livingstone tells Sky Sports:

"I thought they got 10 or 15 too many and I thought we were too slow to go pace off.

"Maybe we got the toss wrong, we thought it might skid on under lights.

"We just lost too many wickets in the middle but that's how we want to play, we want to take the game on."

  5. 'We picked up wickets at the right time'published at 21:57 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

Result: Yorkshire beat Lancashire by 15 runs

Yorkshire captain Shan Masood tells Sky Sports:

"We've found a bit of a blueprint batting first.

"The bowlers find it nice when they have runs to defend.

"With Lancashire's batting I thought we were 15 short.

"But we kept picking up wickets at the right time."

  6. Postpublished at 21:53 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

Result: Yorkshire beat Lancashire by 15 runs

That was a superb bowling display from Yorkshire.

They had good runs on the board but were facing a seriously fearsome batting line up.

But none of them could get going.

The home side chipped away and there was a never really a point where the chase looked on.

When Tom Hartley made his late 39 from 21 balls the task was too stiff.

Jordan Thompson with the final over.

Luke Wood heaves one for six over long leg and then bangs the next over midwicket.

A late flurry from Wood but Lancashire have been well beaten.

  8. ESSEX BEAT SUSSEX BY 25 RUNSpublished at 21:47 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Sussex 138 v Essex 163-7

Oli Carter is the last wicket to fall for Sussex, clean bowled by Daniel Sams for 27, and Essex cruise to victory on the south coast.

Spin was the key factor for Essex with ball in hand - hat-trick hero Simon Harmer took four, Matt Critchley took three, and Dan Lawrence picked up one of his own with his part-time offies.

  9. Lancs need 33 in six ballspublished at 21:46 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Yorks 195-6 v Lancs 163-8 (19 overs)

Lancashire swinging for all their worth but can't find the bleachers.

    All over bar the shouting.

  10. wicket

WICKET Hartley run out 39published at 21:44 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Yorks 195-6 v Lancs 156-8 (18.2 overs)

    Oh carnage!

Tom Hartley is standing dead still as Luke Wood charges back for a second, which is on.

Hartley is way too late setting off and the throw from long leg is relayed from wicketkeeper to bowler and Hartley is half the pitch short.

  11. Lancs need 41 from 12 ballspublished at 21:42 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Yorks 195-6 v Lancs 155-7 (18 overs)

Yorkshire aren't really putting a foot wrong here.

Length and pace off and quick and full are doing the trick.

    They're almost home.

    Wiese finishes with 2-31.

  12. wicket

WICKET de Grandhomme c Tattersall b Wiese 12published at 21:39 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Yorks 195-6 v Lancs 149-7 (17.2 overs)

David Wiese for his final over.

Slower ball outside off, Colin de Grandhomme tries to cut but nicks it behind!

  13. Lancs need 48 in 18 ballspublished at 21:37 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Yorks 195-6 v Lancs 148-6 (17 overs)

Matt Revis for his third over.

Tom Hartley shuffles across and heaves him over long leg for six first ball.

But then fires three in the blockhole and gets three dots.

    Outstanding stuff.

A club down the ground brings only one.

And the last ball is missed outside off.

  14. Lancs need 55 from 24 ballspublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Yorks 195-6 v Lancs 141-6 (16 overs)

Jordan Thompson back at the Football Stand End.

    Dot, one, dot. Great start.

Then a slower ball skips past the attempted drive of Colin de Grandhomme.

And then he tries a reverse paddle and misses completely.

Finally gets one away past point for four.

But only five from the over. Superb stuff.

  15. Sussex need 57 from 30 ballspublished at 21:31 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Elsewhere...

Barring something utterly ridiculous, Essex are on course for victory at Hove.

Sussex have never really recovered from the loss of four early wickets, including a Simon Harmer hat-trick, and now need 57 from the last five overs, with just two wickets in hand.

    A tall order.

  16. Lancs need 60 from 30 ballspublished at 21:30 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Yorks 195-6 v Lancs 136-6 (15 overs)

Ben Mike has sent down two excellent overs.

But the first ball of his third is swung over long leg for six by Tom Hartley stepping across his stumps.

Then Hartley slashes hard and carves one over deep point for a flat six.

A leg side flick then almost carries to long leg but lands just short of David Wiese running in.

A drive for two from Colin de Grandhomme before two off side wides and a slap half-saved at mid-off for two.

21 from the over and Lancashire trying to find a way back into the game.

  17. Lancs need 81 in 36 ballspublished at 21:25 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Yorks 195-6 v Lancs 115-6 (14 overs)

Dom Bess' off spin is back.

Tom Hartley skips down and drives him wide of long-off for four.

Then a slap back at the bowler and a very sharp chance is put down.

Hartley then opens the front leg to heave one over long-on.

  18. Lancs need 94 in 42 ballspublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Yorks 195-6 v Lancs 102-6 (13 overs)

Still Colin de Grandhomme there for Lancashire but we're getting to snookers required.

  19. wicket

WICKET Livingstone c Tattersall b Wiese 15published at 21:21 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

    Yorks 195-6 v Lancs 101-6 (12.5 overs)

    David WieseImage source, Rex Features

David Wiese for a third over.

A clever slower ball outside off forces Liam Livingstone to play and miss.

Only two from the first three balls - Yorkshire have started overs so well outside the powerplay.

And so Livingstone tries a big blow and spoons it straight up.

Jonny Tattersall charges out from behind the stumps to take the catch towards square leg.

    Is that the game?

  20. DERBYSHIRE BEAT LEICESTERSHIREpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 1 June 2023

Derbyshire (189-5) beat Leics (187-5) by two runs

Leicestershire fall just short in their chase of 190.

They looked the favourites when Rehan Ahmed took the first ball of the final over, bowled by George Scrimshaw, for four, but the bowler recovered wonderfully to restrict Ahmed and Colin Ackermann to just seven from the final five balls.

Leicestershire remain without a win, while Derbyshire have their first success of this season's Blast campaign.
