Will Jacks is starting to look ominous at Taunton and he takes two steps to leg to give himself room before powering Josh Davey's second delivery over mid-off for six.
The Surrey openers have laid a foundation - but it's going to take an awful lot of big hitting from here to get anywhere near last week's total against Sussex Sharks.
Durham 46-1 (6 overs)
The fast bowling of Zaman Khan brings the breakthrough for Derbyshire with Michael Jones caught in the deep on legside.
Zaman is a real slinger - he reminds me of Sri Lanka legend Lasith Malinga, as he is not the tallest bowler.

Northants v Lancashire 21-2 (3.2 overs)
A second big scalp for Ben Sanderson in his second over!
It's a bit of a strangle, but he won't care as Phil Salt is caught behind down leg.
Both Lancashire openers back in the hutch already and their T20 batting problems continue.
Birmingham Bears 163-5 (18 overs) v Worcestershire
Good end to the innings for the Bears as Jacob Bethell comes in to club two quick boundaries in support of Dan Mousley.
They have quickly added 18 together..

Somerset v Surrey 19-0
Glorious by Will Jacks, who strokes Craig Overton through the covers for four and then puts a bit more muscle behind it to clear the rope in a similar direction. Three overs gone.
Yorks v Leics 30-0
Yorkshire's Ben Mike is given the third over against his former club.
His opening delivery is edged past the keeper for four by Harry Swindells, who then collects a single before Nick Welch pulls a short one away for the game's first maximum - and it's a huge one.
There is a let-off for Swindells on nine as he is dropped at deep backward square. How costly will that be?
Northants v Lancashire 17-1 (3 overs)
A dropped catch by Saif Zaib in the deep gives Luke Wells a let-off. It looks like he may have lost it in the sunshine! What a pity!
It is a beautiful Friday evening for cricket in Northampton where the match is a sell-out. Great to see!

Great start for Middlesex.
Tawanda Muyeye on 23 and Daniel Bell-Drummond on 30.
Eight boundaries bedtween them, two of which have cleared the rope.

Solid start from Durham openers Alex Lees and Michael Jones in the north east sunshine.
Four boundaries so far and all off the bat of Jones.

An early boundary for Nick Welch at Headingley, but spinner Dom Bess is right on the money in the second over with only singles from it.
Northants v Lancashire 10-1 (1.4 overs)
Huge scalp for Northants!
Jos Buttler goes for a six-ball duck, trapped on leg-stump by Ben Sanderson.
93 runs in five T20 Blast games for Buttler - not what he or Lancashire would have expected.

No dream return to New Road for Ed Barnard.

Decent opening over by Craig Overton yields only four runs.
The second ball of the next - bowled by Matt Henry - is flipped down to the fine leg boundary by Laurie Evans, but the other five are all dots.
Essex v Glamorgan (starts 19:00)
Essex have won the toss and have asked Glamorgan to bat first.
The team news is simple for Essex - they are unchanged from the side that won in Cardiff seven days ago, and so are the Welsh county!
Birmingham Bears 140-4 (16 overs) v Worcestershire
Ed Barnard off the mark with a first-ball boundary, to the sound of almost silence.
13 off the over.
Northants v Lancashire 8-0 (1 over)
With a batting line-up that includes Phil Salt, England white-ball captain Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone and Daryl Mitchell, Lancashire look very dangerous on paper.
But it has not quite worked so far with them not firing yet, limping to 145 and 152 against Nottinghamshire and Durham before they chased 178 to beat Worcestershire last time out.
Salt and Buttler have opened the innings here.
