    What a Thursday evening we have had with five cracking games in the T20 Blast.

    Birmingham Bears held on in a nailbiter against Yorkshire, while Sussex, Kent and Worcestershire all chased successfully.

    But tonight was all about Middlesex as they made T20 Blast history to chase 253 to beat Surrey in a London derby runfest.

    Middlesex (254-3) beat Surrey (252-7) by seven wickets

    Middlesex have ended their run of seven straight losses to Surrey and it is their first win at The Oval since 2012.

    Fair play to them. It would have been so easy to think this total was beyond them.

    But they have given us an incredible evening of T20 cricket and T20 Blast history.

    No 15th straight defeat. Instead a lovely T20 Blast record for the group.

    Ten balls unused as Jordan Cox top-edges a six off Paul Walter to seal a comfortable win for Kent - their fourth in a row.

    Joe Denly's 76 from 32 balls and Daniel Bell-Drummond's unbeaten 69 from 49 meant the outcome was rarely in doubt during that run chase.

    The Spitfires are very much in quarter-final contention!

    Although David Wiese slammed three sixes from Henry Brookes' final over, it wasn't enough for Yorkshire - who have now lost three in a row.

    The Bears, with Dan Mousley taking a career-best 4-28, did just enough to squeeze home and stay top of the North Group table.
