  1. Rapids and Durham tiepublished at 20:41 British Summer Time 30 June 2023
    Breaking

Worcs 112-3 tie with Durham 216-4 (DLS)

The umpires have declared it a night at New Road where bad light has won the day.

Worcestershire will be thankful for some big hitting from Adam Hose just before the players were taken off the field - as it drew them level on the DLS format.

Graham Clark's 78 for Durham had helped set the Rapids a challenging total but they had given themselves a chance of making it - we'll never know if they would have.

A point apiece which definitely ends Durham's quarter-final hopes - and leaves Worcestershire needing a win at Derbyshire on Sunday to be sure of their spot.

So we've got action in four matches and rain delays in four others.

We'll bring you any news of resumptions at Hampshire, Worcestershire and Kent if and when they happen.

There hasn't been any play yet in the Roses match at Old Trafford.

    They're nicely placed approaching halfway.

  7. Bears chasing 169published at 20:29 British Summer Time 30 June 2023

Birmingham Bears 45-4 v Notts Outlaws (4 overs)

Matt Carter's first over of spin goes for 13, including a six over midwicket by Rob Yates off the last delivery.

  8. Essex post 225-6published at 20:28 British Summer Time 30 June 2023

    Essex 225-6 v Middlesex

What a superb late hand from Daniel Sams.

He takes Martin Andersson for three sixes in the final over to finish with 69 in only 34 balls.

Six fours and five sixes in total.

Essex were bobbling along but Sams has smashed them to a likely winning score.

  9. Bears chasing 169published at 20:25 British Summer Time 30 June 2023

    Birmingham Bears 32-4 (3 overs)

Shaheen Shah Afridi's second over is all over the place, going for 11 including a few wides and a skied swipe by Glenn Maxwell that fell safe.

  10. Derbyshire post highest totalpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 30 June 2023

    Derbyshire 231-4 (20 overs) v Leicestershire

Haider Ali hits his first ball for six off Tom Scriven after Leus du Plooy is caught behind.

And the same treatment for the next over the opposite boundary, almost into a burger van. Then he's caught on the ropes at long on. Eventful three-ball innings.

Tom Wood carries his bat for an unbeaten 110 - Derbyshire's second highest T20 score by a batter.

But 231-4 is the highest Derbyshire T20 total ever and the first-wicket partnership of 148 between Wood and Harry Came was a club record too.

  12. Postpublished at 20:20 British Summer Time 30 June 2023

    Derbyshire 216-2 (19 overs) v Leicestershire

Nightmare over for Leicestershire's Michael Finan - two wides, a no-ball and a couple of sixes. Would have been a catch off one as well - but it was a free hit after the no-ball.

Tom Wood (109no) and Leus du Plooy (30no off 14 balls) pulverised him there.

Maxwell off the mark with a sixpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 30 June 2023

    Birmingham Bears 14-4 (1.4 overs) - target 169

Glenn Maxwell, aka The Big Show, hooks Lyndon James over long leg for a fine six to get off the mark.

  14. Still off for bad light at New Roadpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 30 June 2023

    Worcs 112-3 (11 overs) v Durham 216-4

Umpires still out on the field at New Road.

But if they have suspended play for bad light, it's difficult to see how the light is going to improve as night-time draws in.

  15. Olly Stone goes off injuredpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 30 June 2023

    Birmingham Bears 8-4 (1.3 overs) - target 169

    Uh-oh.

Olly Stone bowls three deliveries on his comeback, but he is now walking off the field.

That's a sad sight, he has had so many injury problems down the years.

    Incredible stuff!

Shaheen Shah Afridi uproots Ed Barnard's off stump first ball to complete an astonishing first over.

Five runs came off a wide off the first ball!

I have never seen the like.

Three wickets in the opening over!

  18. South Group latestpublished at 20:08 British Summer Time 30 June 2023

Into the final five overs at Chelmsford and Essex are going well on 160-5.

What can they find here to try to get up to 200?

Surrey's chase is under way at Taunton - 209 is their target and there are just three runs from the first over.

    Derbyshire 179-2 (16.3 overs) v Leicestershire

Wayne Madsen mistimes a shot and scoops it high behind where Foxes wicketkeeper Peter Handscomb takes a watchful catch.

In comes Leus de Plooy, who had been warming up by juggling three cricket balls on the sidelines. Lovely, Leus, lovely.

  20. No hat-trick for Afridi as Outlaws get off to a flyerpublished at 20:07 British Summer Time 30 June 2023
