    Thunder 160-6 - target 192

Georgia Adams starts with a lovely bit of turn and bounce which decives Dani Collins but misses the timbers.

Good first four balls from the spinner but the fifth is swept through backward square leg for four by Ellie Threlkeld. She has 27 from 18 and will be on strike in the 19th over.

    32 needed from 12 balls.

Charlie Dean will bowl the penultimate over.

There's a decent game here. I'd favour the Vipers in this situation, but Ellie Threlkeld is going nicely. It's not clear cut, but it's a task [for Thunder] from here.

Dani Collins has joined Ellie Threlkeld who slog-sweeps Georgia Elwiss through the leg side to bring up the Thunder 150 and move to 22. Perfectly timed.

A ramp attempt goes wrong to end the over but it falls safe. Dot ball.

41 needed from three overs. It's not impossible, but...

    Big over required here.

    Thunder 146-6 - target 192

Naomi Dattani slashes a nick over the vacant slips to the boundary off Georgia Elwiss but is out next ball, looping off the edge to Linsey Smith at backward point. Still 46 needed. Is that it?

    Thunder 140-5 - target 192

Charlie Dean's first delivery is cracked to the ropes for four. The boundaries continue to flow, even though the wickets have been falling.

Good recovery from Dean though with a dot, a couple of singles and a couple of leg byes. Georgia Adams dives at mid-off to save at least a couple of runs off the final ball.

52 required from the final four overs.

    Good watch this!

    Thunder 131-5 - target 192

Naomi Dattani joins Ellie Threlkeld who has moved onto 17 with a vital sweep through square leg from an errant final ball from Anya Shrubsole.

    61 needed from 30 deliveries.

Have the Thunder's chances departed with Sophie Ecclestone?

Massive wicket in the context of the game.

  8. wicket

    Thunder 126-5

She's ridden her luck but Sophie Ecclestone has gone. Miscuing Anya Shrubsole into the blue for Ella McCaughan to walk across from mid-off to pouch it.

Shrubsole has 2-25 with two balls of her spell remaining.

Freya Kemp has shelled a chance to dismiss Sophie Ecclestone in the deep after a big blow off Anya Shrubsole. She looked nailed on to catch it with her feet set but spills it to her left.

These last couple of overs are showing the maturity that Sophie Ecclestone has in this position. Can she guide her team home now?

    Thunder 120-4 - target 192

Sophie Ecclestone shows nice feet to flick Georgia Adams' first delivery off her pads and to the fine leg boundary for a precious four.

Two balls later she lofts the ball back over the bowler and splits the long-on and long-off fielders for another.

A two and a single takes Ecclestone to 28 from 20 - she looks key to this chase.

11 off the over. 72 needed from the last six overs.

The required rate at 11.9 per over. It's almost flashing red here, in danger territory.

    Thunder 109-4 - target 192

The two Thunder batters are set and they are picking off the singles, but that'll please the Vipers more than anyone.

Wily George Elwiss is bowling very full to try and prevent any opportunities for expansive shots. Job done. Six singles off the over.

Ask is a lick under 12 an over now. A big ask.

Danni Wyatt won't want to watch this back. Sophie Ecclestone picks up Linsey Smith and hoiks her towards deep mid-wicket. I suspect Wyatt was thinking about her feet on the rope but the ball certainly went past her at a catchable height before landing just over the rope.

Ecclestone rubs salt into the wound with four from the next ball to bring up the Thunder 100.

    89 needed from 48 balls.

    Thunder 90-4 - target 192

Ellie Threlkeld has played in every single Thunder game going back seven years. This is her first Finals Day experience. She has seven from five balls.

Sophie Ecclestone skews Anya Shrubsole into the sky attempting a slog-sweep but gets lucky as the ball falls safe past the stumps.

Tidy over with some variation from Shrubsole. Just the four off it, and crucially for the Vipers, no boundaries.

    Thunder 86-4 - target 192

Sophie Ecclestone has joined Ellie Threlkeld in the middle and negotiated the remainder of Charlie Dean's over.

The midway point and just a single and a wide off that over. The rate is well into double figures. The Thunder probably need at least one boundary every over from now on.

That's the sort of catch you want on the boundary - coming straight to you and not needing to move or dive or anything.

Sophie Ecclestone is going to have to come out and play aggressively early doors, I reckon.

Deandra Dottin's fun is over after 14 balls, she's picked out Maia Bouchier at long-on after Charlie Dean bowls a slightly slower ball.

Huge wicket for the Vipers, as you can tell from their celebrations.

Mary Taylor's over begins with Deandra Dottin dispatching her to the ropes

She's going after anything on a length and slams Taylor's fourth delivery back down the ground for another.

She gets a slice of luck after slicing Taylor into the leg side and dropping just short of Charlie Dean who took a business decision not to dive forward to try and make the catch.

Ellie Threlkeld gets a genuine edge to fine leg for four. 15 off the over and just like that the pendulum swings a little.
