  1. Match abandoned at Old Trafford

The men's Phoenix-Rockets match at Edgbaston is still scheduled for tonight, so we'll keep tabs on the prospects there for you.

Our coverage is due to resume at 17:45 so hopefully we'll see you then!

  2. Post update

    Phoebe Graham

Manchester Originals bowler on BBC Radio

It'll be a disappointing afternoon for Originals, they got off to a fantastic start and Butter put the team in a great position, but at least we saw a little bit of cricket at Old Trafford.

  3. Match abandoned

    Oh dear.

Sadly, the weather has put paid to any more prospects of play at Old Trafford. Both teams take a point.

  4. Originals 138-5

We need to be back on by 17:12 BST for a 25-ball second innings. I'm not too far from Old Trafford, and it doesn't look good at the moment.

  5. Birmingham Phoenix v Trent Rockets abandoned

Unfortunately, the rain has won at Birmingham.

The women's game between Phoenix and Trent Rockets has been abandoned - the second of the day after Manchester Originals and London Spirit suffered the same fate earlier.

That means only three games in the women's competition have been completed so far because of the weather.

  6. Rain stops play

    Originals 138-5

And we're off again - it's filled in overhead and everyone trudges off the field.

  7. Post update

    Phoebe Graham

Manchester Originals bowler on BBC Radio

Wade doesn't look very impressed, he's slipping and sliding everywhere.

  8. Originals 138-5

Matthew Wade slides along by the boundary to stop a four, but he's gesticulating to the umpires about the conditions out in the deep. He's never short of a word or two at the best of times, is the ex-Australia keeper-batter.

  9. Originals 133-5

There's rain in the air again, but the umpires are keeping them out there for now.

  10. Not out

    Originals 128-5

Nope, the back foot was just down in time.

  11. Umpire review

Quick hands from Rossington - is Jamie Overton out stumped?

  12. WICKET

    Walter c Wade b Bopara 2 (Originals 126-5)

    Bopara's golden arm strikes again!

Paul Walter tries to cut him away, but the ball loops up off the edge, giving Matthew wade the easiest of catching chances at point.

  13. Originals 126-4

Ashton Turner is the new batter, and he gets the chance to shine at a free hit when Ravi Bopara sends down a beamer as the ball slips out of his hands.

Turner can only get two from the free hit when he pulls it behind square.

That was a yorker coming from Bopara's knuckle ball there and it shows how hard yorkers are to play no matter the speed. Fantastic knock there from Buttler.

  15. WICKET

    Buttler b Bopara 62 (Originals 117-4)

Ohhhh, that is clever from Ravi Bopara!

His slower one is just too good for Jos Buttler, and his entertaining knock is over much to the disappointment of the home crowd.

And there's a nice, laid-back celebration from the ex-England player just to rub it in.

  16. Originals 117-3

Ravi Bopara is on with his wobbly medium-pacers from the Brian Statham End.

Jos Buttler gets two more when Dan Lawrence fumbles a long barrier in the offside, allowing the Originals skipper back for the second. Is a bowler allowed to shout at his skipper when that happens?

  17. Post update

    Phoebe Graham

Manchester Originals bowler on BBC Radio

That's clipped the top of middle stump there, it looked like it had a bit of nip off the seam.

  18. WICKET

    Evans b Dawson 1 (Originals 113-3)

    Well, that didn't last long.

Dawson tempts Evans to come down the track but he gets some purchase off the pitch, it squeezes between bat and pad and clips the bails.

    Paul Walter joins Jos Buttler.

  19. Post update

    Phoebe Graham

Manchester Originals bowler on BBC Radio

Holden played quite a good knock there. He was going really hard and Critchley was able to drag a length there.

  20. WICKET

Holden st Rossington b Critchley 24 (Originals 111-2)

The left-hander is lured down the track by the leg-spinner, and Adam Rossington makes a smart stumping to send him on his way.

Laurie Evans is the new batter at the crease.
