  1. Brave 43-1published at 40 balls

Linsey Smith has conceded just six runs from her 10 balls so far, but with just 58 runs needed Brave do not need to panic.

Georgia Wareham comes into the attack.

  2. Brave 39-1published at 35 balls

    Target 101

Alice Davidson-Richards, who took three wickets and two catches in Superchargers' win against Birmingham Phoenix in midweek, comes on for her first set.

Maia Bouchier helps herself to her first boundary with a powerful half-volley over mid-on.

With such a small total to chase Brave can afford to be patient and just pick off the bad balls.

  3. Brave 33-1published at 30 balls

After taking that catch Linsey Smith comes on to bowl as Maia Bouchier joins Smriti Mandhana.

Her left arm off spin does the trick as well, with just two runs coming from her set of five.

    Wyatt c Smith b Cross 20 (Brave 31-1)

Danni Wyatt goes! Boy did Superchargers need that.

Wyatt was eyeing another boundary but her cut show does not have quite enough height and the ball flies straight to Linsey Smith, who takes a smart catch.

  5. Brave 31-0published at 22 balls

Perhaps unsurprisingly Kate Cross continues with a second set but Smriti Mandhana heaves a shot through the leg side for four.

    Jemimah RodriguesImage source, ECB

Jemimah Rodrigues has only bowled in five of her 83 women's T20 internationals, so she's an unconventional bowling choice. In only one of those matches has she bowled more than one over, taking one wicket against Bangladesh.

  7. Brave 26-0published at 20 balls

Kate Cross shows all her experience as she bowls a set without conceding a run.

Superchargers needed that, but they also need wickets as Brave are still ahead of the game.

  8. Brave 26-0published at 15 balls

Interesting change of bowling from Northern Superchargers as Jemimah Rodrigues is thrown the ball for the next set.

A horrible misfield at point gifts Danni Wyatt yet another boundary. Wyatt then clubs another four through deep square leg the next ball.

Nine runs off Rodrigues' first set.

Wyatt has scored 20 of Brave's 26 runs so far.

  9. Brave 17-0published at 10 balls

Grace Ballinger's first ball is down leg side and Bess Heath cannot stop the ball from flying down to the boundary for four byes.

Danni Wyatt then smashes two boundaries in three deliveries, the first slashed through the off side, the second back over the bowler's head.

Strong start with the bat from Southern Brave and Wyatt in particular.

    Ominous.

  10. Brave 5-0published at 5 balls

    Target 101

A statement of intent from Danni Wyatt as she times a half-volley sweetly and the ball fizzes through the leg-side for four.

A good response from Kate Cross tough as Wyatt the plays and misses at a wide one outside off stump. Five runs off her first set.

Grace Ballinger will open at the other end.

Kate Cross will bowl the opening set.

The Northern Superchargers players enter the field before getting into a team huddle.

Danni Wyatt and Smriti Mandhana follow on just behind them.

What an opening pair that is. If they get going the game could be won very quickly.

    Thanks, Callum.

After spending Saturday grimly watching the rain it is great to be back in The Hundred saddle for the first time this year. There is even a bright yellow thing beaming down from the sky above the Ageas Bowl.

    Let's do this...

We're moments away from Southern Brave coming out to bat.

Tom Mallows will take you through their chase of 101.

Can they get back to winning ways?

If you watch these clips you'll see how good Rhianna Southby was behind the stumps.

She is effectively playing as a specialist keeper, with her carded to come in at 10.

    Superb stuff.

  16. 'Brilliant to show people what I'm capable of'published at 12:10 British Summer Time 6 August 2023

Southern Brave's Rhianna Southby: "I absolutely loved that. I haven't been anywhere near my best in the first two games but today feel more natural and to show people what I am capable of is brilliant.

"My stance is lower than other people but I think that helps me out a little bit. It does help when people run past them though!

"Full credit to the bowlers, when they bowl like that it is just up to me to clean things up. We came out all guns blazing. The batters, with the form they are in at the moment, should hopefully knock these off."

  17. Brave need 101 to winpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 6 August 2023

A brilliant bowling effort from Southern Brave.

They will fancy themselves to get back to winning ways.

    Cross b Bell 3 (Superchargers 95-8)

    Very good from Lauren Bell.

The back-of-the-hand slower ball does for Kate Cross.

Lauren Bell will bowl the final set.

Georgia Wareham hit Bell for 26 in one over of the women's Ashes on this ground earlier in the summer.

Can Wareham repeat the trick and haul Superchargers to a total?

  20. Superchargers 95-7published at 95 balls

Brilliant stuff from Anya Shrubsole, conceding just four from the set.

She finishes with 2-13 from her 20 balls.

    She's still got it.
