Richa Ghosh can be a very dangerous player. Can she take London Spirit up to a winning total?
Amelia Kerr looks to have found the gap on the leg side but Fran Wilson comes racing round and dives to prevent the boundary.
There's no stopping that one from Richa Ghosh, though! She advances and thumps Kirstie Gordon through extra cover for four. Top shot.
Strategic timeout taken by the Rockets.
A Kerr 11, Ghosh 10
A much-needed boundary for London Spirit!
Richa Ghosh gets down and into position quickly to sweep Jo Gardner away behind square for four.
I mentioned the decent platform the Spirit established but launching from it has proven tricky. That boundary might help, though...
With so little pace in this pitch, the Rockets stick with spin. Bryony Smith keeps the Spirit to singles.
Amelia Kerr did attempt a big sweep but like Heather Knight, top-edged it. Fortunately for the Spirit, though, this time the ball lands safely.
Richa Ghosh is out there with Kerr now. Can either of them find their timing on this surface?
The decision to keep Alana King going proves to be a very good one from Nat Sciver-Brunt.
Two runs and a wicket from the second five in that set. After Danielle Gibson got after her early King has come back very well.
Knight c Gardner b King 11 (Spirit 67-3)
The England captain is gone!
Alana King continues for another five, Heather Knight wants to get the scoreboard moving a little quicker after a frustrating start to her innings but top-edges the sweep.
The ball carries out to Jo Gardner at deep square for a straightforward catch.
Alana King races through another five and scoring is looking increasingly difficult.
Just four from the over as the leg-spinner gets away with a wayward delivery to end it thanks to a good stop at short fine leg.
We're at the halfway point of the innings after another good five from Alexa Stonehouse. The left-armer has proved very tough to get away so far today.
Heather Knight does try to attack the last delivery but this looks a pretty slow pitch and the ball loops tamely and bounces a long way short of long on. Just a single.
A Kerr 2, Knight 7
Another quiet set in terms of runs after that chance first ball.
Spirit are steadily ticking along, though, and with wickets in hand, they are giving themselves the chance to really push on later in the innings.
Spirit 55-2
Close! Heather Knight attempts a reverse sweep off Bryony Smith, gets a top edge and the balls balloons towards short third.
Grace Potts has to put in a dive to try and take the catch but can't cling on. It was a tough chance and she seems to have done herself some damage as well.
She's heading off now to get her finger seen to.
Superb again from Kirsite Gordon, she's taken 2-7 from her first 10 balls as she keeps new batter Amelia Kerr and Heather Knight to a pair of singles from the last three.
This one is very nicely poised as we approach the halfway stage of the innings.
Gibson c King b Gordon 36 (Spirit 52-2)
Kirstie Gordon returns and takes her second wicket!
That's another important one for Trent Rockets because Danielle Gibson was starting to look very dangerous.
But she tried another big shot over the top, didn't get to the pitch of the ball and sent a leading edge looping into the covers where Alana King took a simple catch.
That's more what we've come to expect from Alana King. The Australia leg-spinner finishes the set with two dot balls and causes Danielle Gibson a problem with a bit of turn and bounce.
Too full from Alana King and Danielle Gibson drives gloriously back down the ground for four. That's a really lovely shot.
King pulls her length back next ball but over-corrects and Gibson goes back and powers the ball through point for four more!
Another strong pull shot from Danielle Gibson ends the five from Naomi Dattani but this one runs out to the fielder in the deep for a single.
Alana King was that fielder and she is coming on to bowl.
Four more! Short again and too straight this time so Danielle Gibson pulls it away behind square.
Gibson is starting to move through the gears now.
Short and wide from Naomi Dattani and Danielle Gibson isn't missing out on that - she sends it rocketing to the boundary!
Alexa Stonehouse returns and ends the powerplay with a very good set, restricting the Spirit to a pair of singles.
It's fairly even a quarter of the way through the innings with the Rockets having hit back in the last 10 balls after a quick start from the home side.
Kirstie Gordon was been very good for the Rockets so far in this tournament and that's an excellent start for her today.
Just three runs conceded and the big wicket of Grace Harris in her first five.
Heather Knight is the new batter for London Spirit.
Harris c Wilson b Gordon 10 (Spirit 27-1)
Sliced to point! Kirstie Gordon strikes and that's a big wicket for the Rockets!
Grace Harris went back and tried to thump the spinner through the off side.
However, the ball sticks in the pitch a touch, Harris' timing is off and a thick edge is comfortably taken by Fran Wilson.
