  2. 'For a while I thought they were in the chase'published at 17:46 British Summer Time 14 August 2023

Match hero Tammy Beaumont, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a pretty good wicket, obviously, but I am glad we batted first. For a while I thought they were in the chase. Our bowlers did really well.

"There was quite strong breeze towards the river Taff. Anything at that end I just tried to get under it and into the wind.

"I said if any team that can pull it off it is the Rockets. We had to bowl well. Freya Davies, at the end that was really difficult to defend, was absolutely outstanding."

An emphatic win for Welsh Fire, who move to the top of the table.

They only won one game in 2022 but they are now top of the tree with four wins from six games.

    Need 48 more

Five balls left, Rockets need 48. It's not going to happen.

It has been a decent effort though. If this was a first-innings score we'd be saying it was a good score.

A pigeon just landed on the middle of the pitch and Alex Hartley - obviously, who else? - races in from fine leg to get it off the pitch.

She raises a hand to the crowd in acknowledgement.

Freya Davies finishes with 2-19 from her 20 balls.

    Unlucky Harmanpreet Kaur.

She absolutely crunches a straight drive but the ball crashes into the stumps at the non-striker's end and the India skipper doesn't pick up any runs.

    The shot deserved four.

    Hit em!

Major confusion in the running and Fran Wilson runs a good three quarters of the pitch.

She's sent back by Harmanpreet Kaur but Shabnim Ismail has already gathered the ball.

She settles herself and aims at the stumps at the non-striker's end but the throw is wayward.

This is massively slipping away from Trent Rockets.

They were in it for about 50 balls but the wickets mean their chances have diminished.

Alex Griffiths concedes just three from her latest set.

    Great catch.

That wicket ball was by far Alex Hartley's quickest of the day. Clever bowling.

Tammy Beaumont is still shouting instructions at her side. She doesn't want to let this position of dominance disappear.

Big fist pump and roar from Alex Hartley as she picks up her first wicket.

The left-arm spinner goes round the wicket and darts one across Jo Gardner.

She tries to heave it into the leg side but misses and Hartley cannons into off stump.

Harmanpreet Kaur gets down and sweeps to the square-leg boundary.

It is still potentially on while she is at the crease.
