Oh Sophia Dunkley is on fire.

She drags a ball down and Nat Sciver-Brunt looks to smack it back down the ground but Dunkey, instinctively, sticks her hands out and it sticks.

She holds on in her fingertips and manages to cling on as the power of the shot sends her backwards.

    Smith c Dunkley b Davies 48 (Rockets 83-2)

    GRAB!

It's a pretty rank full toss from Freya Davies but Bryony Smith doesn't connect cleanly.

Sophia Dunkey comes haring in off the mid-wicket fence and takes a superb low diving catch.

Two new batters in the middle and now Fire have a chance to build pressure.

    Target 182

Shabnim Ismail hits Nat Sciver-Brunt on the pads first ball but it is straying down the leg side.

Shabnim Ismail may be a good option to Nat Sciver-Brunt.

She's got her out three times in 16 innings, but has also restricted the England all-rounder to just 73 runs off 80 balls.

Ismail has bowled an average speed of 70.5 mph (113.5 kph) in this Women’s Hundred - the quickest of all pace bowlers to have bowled at least 20 balls.

84% of Ismail’s deliveries have been high pace in the four games for the Fire.

In T20s and the Hundred since the start of 2022, Nat Sciver-Brunt averages 46 and strikes at 112 facing high pace deliveries.

The new batter is Nat Sciver-Brunt.

    This could be fun.

    Lee c Davies b Ismail 26 (Rockets 78-1)

    Breakthrough!

Lizelle Lee looks to loft Shabnim Ismail over the top but just ends up picking out Freya Davies at mid-off.

Can Fire build some pressure now?

  9. 6 runs

Rockets 72-0published at 60 balls left

    Target 182

    Bryony Smith is absolutely flying.

She goes deep in her crease and pummels Alex Griffiths over the ropes.

It was placed perfectly between mid-wicket and long-on.

  10. dropped catch

Smith dropped on 36published at 64 balls left

    Rockets 65-0

    Ooh! Would have been spectacular.

Bryony Smith crunches a cut shot away and Freya Davies just sticks out her right hand and hopes it sticks.

It ends up smashing into her wrist and going down.

One of those where it either sticks or falls.

  11. Rockets 63-0published at 65 balls left

    Target 182

A decent set from Alex Hartley, conceding just six from her second set.

Claire Nicholas has gone off the pitch by the way. She slipped and landed awkwardly a few balls ago so may need some treatment.

It's flicked off the bottom of the glove and Lizelle Lee survives.

I'm not entirely sure the line was right either.

  13. Fire reviewpublished at 67 balls left

Has Alex Hartley trapped Lizelle Lee lbw?

It didn't quite look right but Tammy Beaumont wants to take another look.

Welsh Fire were 54-0 at this stage.

    Game on?

  15. 6 runs

Rockets 57-0published at 70 balls left

    Target 182

    She's gone again!

One step down the pitch and Bryony Smith just lofts Claire Nicholas over long-on for the third six in the set.

    20 off it.

  16. 6 runs

Rockets 49-0published at 73 balls left

    Back-to-back sixes.

Bryony Smith smacks Claire Nicholas down over her head, before working a shorter ball over square leg.

    Lovely hitting.

  17. Rockets 37-0published at 75 balls left

    Target 182

Freya Davies starts with two dot balls but Bryony Smith is able to smack the final ball of her opening set through mid-wicket.

End of the powerplay and Fire, although they have yet to find a breakthrough, will probably be happy they have managed to restrict Rockets somewhat.

  18. Rockets 31-0published at 80 balls left

    Target 182

    Superb stuff from Claire Nicholas.

Her second set goes for just one run and she has figures of 0-3 from her first 10 balls.

  19. Rockets 30-0published at 85 balls left

    Target 182

Spin doesn't last long as Shabnim Ismail comes into the attack.

She won Welsh Fire the game with a hat-trick in their last match, but she goes for 13 in her first set.

It starts with four leg byes before Bryony Smith whips through mid-wicket and then clubs past mid-on.

This has been a good start to the chase.

  20. Rockets 17-0published at 90 balls left

    Target 182

Interesting. Double spin to start for Welsh Fire as Claire Nicholas comes into the attack.

It's a tidy set from the off-spinner, conceding just two singles.
