Well, that was quite the finish.

Thank you for joining us for another action-packed day of The Hundred which saw the London derby end honours even as London Spirit won the women's fixture.

The Invincibles men then tightened their grip at the top of the table with a tense victory...

...and you can read Sam Drury's report here.

We'll be back tomorrow from 14:45 BST for another double header between Southern Brave and Birmingham Phoenix, both of which are live on BBC Two and iPlayer - don't miss it!

    But look at this.

With the run chase coming down to the wire, Ross Whiteley pulled off a save that can only be described as magical to deny Matt Critchley a six that would have made Spirit's job a heck of a lot easier.

Match Hero, Oval Invincibles' Will Jacks on Sky Sports: "What a crazy finish. I thought we'd won it twice, but I'm just glad we got over the line in the end.

"I knew I was going to be under the pump with the ball but I try to think like a batter in those situations, and think what would I not want to face.

"They bowled really well up front so we had to scrap through the first 20 balls or so but I know this ground well, so I was confident that we could catch up at this ground once the ball got a bit older.

"We'll take a lot of confidence from these last two wins where we've defended well."

What a fantastic finish. We were entertained right until the very end.

Sam Curran, the man of the T20 World Cup, yet again does it for his team at the business end.

    Matt Critchley must be gutted.

First that astonishing piece of fielding from Ross Whiteley to deny him a third six off Curran, and then only running the single off the "last" ball that turned out to be a no-ball.

He finishes unbeaten on 32 from 13 balls.

My word, what a great game of cricket.

It went down to the final ball twice!

    Bowled him!

Sam Curran holds his nerve in a thrilling finish!

What a brave effort from Spirit, who fall agonisingly short as the hosts take the bragging rights in the London derby.

Thinking the game was done, the batters only jogged the single.

Could that prove costly? Matt Critchley, on 32 from 13, can only watch as Chris Wood takes strike...

    More drama!

Matt Critchley can only manage a single, and Oval Invincibles are celebrating, but Sam Curran has overstepped!

    It's a no-ball!

That gifts London Spirit two precious runs AND a free hit!

Spirit need three from the final ball.

What an incredible piece of fielding! It's one of the great pieces of fielding you could wish to see!

    Need 6 from 1 ball

    Wow.

That is one of the best pieces of fielding you will ever see on a cricket pitch.

The ball is sailing for six, but Ross Whiteley leaps like a salmon, full-stretch, and somehow palms the ball back one-handed inside the ropes.

That leaves Critchley needing six from the final ball.

    Oh my word!

    He can't, can he?!

Sam Curran drifts onto the pads and Critchley flicks it effortlessly into the stands!

  15. Spirit 176-7published at 3 balls left

    Need 14 from 3 balls

    Brilliant from Curran.

Matt Critchley can only scamper two from a well-directed yorker.

  16. Spirit 174-7published at 4 balls left

    Need 16 from 4 balls

Just a single first ball but it gets Matt Critchley on strike, who has 21 from nine balls.

He's the only hope for Spirit here.

That was like a Shane Warne leg-break! Wood just bowled ball of the century off his bat!

  18. Spirit 173-7published at 5 balls left

    Need 17 from 5 balls

A wicked deviation off a pitch out near the boundary sees the ball spin past Nathan Sowter's dive and hands Chris Wood a boundary!

It's still a tough equation for Spirit and it'll be the expert death bowler, Sam Curran, to close it out for the home side.

    Dawson c Sowter b Chappell 1 (Spirit 169-7)

Invincibles are punished by having to bring a fielder in, but it doesn't matter.

Liam Dawson picks out deep square leg as Zak Chappell takes the pace off, and the batter can't get enough of it to go over the ropes.

It's slipping away from London Spirit, who need 21 from six balls.
