  1. Invincibles 24-0published at 18 balls

Will Jacks uses the pace of Dan Worrall to ramp the ball up and over the wicketkeeper for four.

In fact, he's gloved it onto the grille of his helmet and then over Adam Rossington. The physio comes out to check on him. He seems to be OK.

Hitting the ball down the ground and in front of square hasn't been easy for any batter on this surface today.

  3. Invincibles 16-0published at 15 balls

Good finish to the set from Dan Worrall, plenty of pace and bounce to go with that bit of swing and that leads to Will Jacks playing and missing a couple more times.

Not much in the way of foot movement from Jacks.

Worrall will continue for another five balls.

  4. Invincibles 14-0published at 12 balls

Dan Worrall is back, bowling quickly but puts a bit too much on the bouncer.

It whistles past Will Jacks, over the head of Adam Rossington behind the stumps and away for four byes.

It might have been called wide but Worrall overstepped for a front-foot no-ball so that is called instead.

Worrall gets away with it, though, as Jacks swings and misses at the free hit.

It's nice to have a pitch that favours the bowlers. We don't have things on our side often.

  6. Invincibles 6-0published at 10 balls

    Roy 5, Jacks 1

This is the same pitch used for the women's match early where Spirit comfortably defended 118 to win so it's certainly not a belter.

But when Chris Wood offers the slightest width to end his five, Jason Roy is ready and waiting to thrash it away past point for four!

  7. Invincibles 1-0published at 7 balls

It's taken until the seventh ball of the innings but we have the first run!

Pushed to the right of mid-on by Jason Roy for a single, bringing Will Jacks on strike.

  8. Invincibles 0-0published at 5 balls

No runs from the first five balls from Dan Worrall. A bit of early pressure on Jason Roy as an outside edge to end the set is stopped at short third.

Left-armer Chris Wood is going to come on to bowl the next five.

It's a big opportunity for both Jason Roy and Will Jacks with England's preliminary World Cup squad being announced tomorrow.

  10. Invincibles 0-0published at 3 balls

Excellent start from Dan Worrall - as we've seen throughout this tournament. Pace, bounce and plenty of swing away from Jason Roy as well.

  11. Worrall leading the way in the powerplaypublished at 18:30 British Summer Time 15 August 2023

Dan Worrall will bowl the first five balls and no bowler has taken more powerplay wickets in the men’s Hundred than his six.

The right-armer has struck inside the powerplay in all four games so far and picked up the wickets of Roy and Klaasen inside the powerplay in the reverse fixture at Lord’s.

Here come the London Spirit players, making their way through the fireworks and out to the middle.

The Oval Invincibles openers Jason Roy and Will Jacks are not far behind. We're almost ready for the off.

  13. Beware bowling spin to the Invinciblespublished at 18:27 British Summer Time 15 August 2023

Spin might have a big part to play but CricViz data shows that Oval Invincibles have been the fastest scorers against spin so far in The Hundred men's competition, striking at 165 while averaging 38.

The Oval has generally been a difficult ground to bowl spin at so far with only Sophia Gardens and Edgbaston having a higher economy for spinners than the Oval’s 1.40 runs per ball.

I'm not particularly surprised that Sam Billings has chosen to bat. It looked like a tricky surface to time the ball on.

The spinners are going to be crucial tonight. It will be a test of skill.

Both teams have been quite depleted, a few big names missing, but that gives opportunities to others.

London Spirit captain Dan Lawrence on Sky Sports: "We were going to have a bowl first anyway. I back our lads to chase whatever they set us.

"Zak Crawley is a serious player and he's in really good touch. He's got the potential to hurt any team on his night.

"I was very pleased to get a win and some runs for myself in our last game.

"We're hoping for an exciting night. If we can get on a winning run, we can hopefully get some momentum going into the back end of the tournament."

Oval Invincibles captain Sam Billings on Sky Sports: "Batting first has worked well for us so far.

"Things are going nicely. We were off our best in Birmingham but that's going to happen in this format.

"We have a lot of clarity about what works well for us on this ground.

"Tawanda Muyeye comes in for Jordan Cox. It's a shame for Jordan because he was in great form but keep an eye out for Tawanda, because he's got a very bright future.

"Adam Zampa comes in to replace Sunil Narine."

  18. Cox ruled out of remainder of The Hundredpublished at 18:19 British Summer Time 15 August 2023

While things have been going well for Oval Invincibles, they suffered a blow this week when it was confirmed Jordan Cox would miss the remainder of The Hundred.

The right-hander, who is the leading run-scorer in the men's competition on 168, was hit on the hand while batting against Birmingham Phoenix on Sunday.

He had to be helped from the field by the team physio and the finger injury may now require surgery.

Durham's Graham Clark has replaced Cox in the Invincibles squad.

  19. Oval Invincibles win the toss and batpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 15 August 2023

First advantage to Sam Billings, who wins the toss and decides to have a bat first.

His side are top of the table and will be looking to extend that lead in front of their home crowd tonight.

It's part two of today's double header as table-topping Oval Invincibles take on London Spirit!

The Invincibles might be leading the way but it is so tight in the men's competition that they are still far from sure to even make the top three.

Spirit are seventh but victory today would lift them to second, just a point behind the Invincibles - it really is that close!
