  1. Post update

Well, that was entertaining, if somewhat chaotic.

That's us for this match, but join us at 14:15 BST as the men's sides face off, while at the same time Welsh Fire take on London Spirit in Cardiff.

  2. Post update

Match Hero Kathryn Bryce: "It was a stressful end, it is never calm when you've got a runner out there! Nobody ever practices it so it is all a bit of entertainment for the end.

"We had a couple of tough games to start with the rain and close losses, but we know we are building something and wanted a couple of strong performances to finish off the tournament.

"Sophie [Ecclestone] is such a big player for us and her to go down was a loss so to take more responsibility on my shoulders was great."

  3. Post update

Well, the Originals took the difficult path to that low target set by the Superchargers, regularly losing wickets. But it was always going to be a challenge to defend 107, even if it took the penultimate ball to reach it.

It's a blow to the Superchargers' hopes of topping the table, they now look set to play in the eliminator for a place in the final next Sunday. Originals, meanwhile, move to fifth but were already out of contention for the knock-out stages.

  4. Manchester Originals win by three wickets

    Sophie Ecclestone

New batter Katie George finishes the job!

A bit of width and she cuts through the covers - the Originals batters race through for two.

  5. WICKET

Ecclestone run out 1 (Originals 106-7)

    Chaos!

Wellington attempts a tight single and the runner Threlkeld is run out at the striker's end.

  6. Originals 106-6

    Runner chaos!

Chipped into the leg-side and both Ecclestone and her runner Ellie Threlkeld run to the non-strikers end. Ecclestone almost attempts the second but is sent back - that was close.

  7. WICKET

Bryce lbw Higham 32 (Originals 105-6)

    A late twist!

Lucy Higham traps Kathryn Bryce lbw and she attempts an elaborate reverse shot. She's walking off without a review.

On comes the hobbling Sophie Ecclestone with a runner - you can still have them in domestic cricket.

  8. Originals 105-5

    3 runs needed

Slower ball from Davidson-Richards, Bryce chips into the leg-side and the Originals batters race through for two more.

Excellent running, and only three more runs needed off the final set.

  9. Originals 102-5

    6 runs needed

Two more singles as the Originals pass 100, Wellington again pulling but only picking up one.

Davidson-Richards follows with a wide - the Superchargers didn't need that.

  10. Originals 99-5

    9 runs needed

Wellington pulls Davidson-Richards hard and bisects the two fielders in the deep for four.

    Target into single figures.

  11. Originals 95-5

    13 runs needed

    Kathryn Bryce and Amanda-Jade Wellington

Superchargers bring back Kate Cross for this crucial set. She may well have bowled later, but Hollie Armitage needs her strike bowler to break this partnership which has reached 50 from 40 deliveries.

The Originals batters work three singles and then hustle through for two off the final delivery, Bryce driving into the covers.

  12. Originals 90-5

    18 runs needed

The Superchargers bring back Grace Ballinger to stem the steady trickle of Originals runs.

Her first four balls go for just three, but Wellington chips her over mid-off for four off the final ball of the set.

  13. Originals 83-5

    25 runs needed

Nice reverse sweep from Bryce off the bowling of Higham, the ball breaks through the backward point fielder and runs away for four.

We're going to take a strategic time-out as the Superchargers seek ways to winkle out the remaining Originals batters. The home side are definitely on top now.

  14. Originals 74-5

    34 runs needed

Wellington takes advantage of her second life - a big inside edge brings four to the third boundary.

  15. Umpire review

    Originals 69-5

    Well, that's intriguing!

Bryce sets off for a single off the bowling of Linsey Smith. It's a direct hit and the batter's end and as the ball strikes Amanda-Jade Wellington appears to be in mid-stride, feet and bat in the air.

But the screen says not out. I can't quite fathom that.

  16. Originals 67-5

    41 runs needed

Fantastic bowling from Georgia Wareham, holding compatriot Wellington to three dots before she can squeeze a single. Another dot follows as Bryce faces.

Wareham finishes with 3-7 from her 20 balls.

  17. Originals 66-5

    42 runs needed

A bit more expansive now from Bryce with consecutive fours off the bowling of Alice Davidson-Richards.

She throws her hands at the ball and sends the ball flying through third. She follows that up by pulling the ball between the boundary fielders at square and mid-wicket.

  18. Originals 56-5

    52 runs needed

    Kathryn Bryce

Four more singles for the Originals as they chip away at this total.

England bowler Olly Stone says on radio commentary that they require some sensible batting for the next 20 balls, and that does seem to be what we're getting.

  19. Originals 52-5

    56 runs needed

Lucy Higham comes into the attack and the Originals batters run five singles.

The Women's World Cup final is over and disappointed England fans are filtering back into the stands.

  20. Originals 47-5

    62 runs needed

Wellington picks up her first boundary, driving Wareham over the head of mid-off.

With half the innings gone, Originals need 62 from 50. That would normally put them in the driving seat, but there's not a mass of batting left and the injured Sophie Ecclestone may not come out at all.
