I wonder if we will see James Vince target Zaman Khan here.

I wonder if we will see James Vince target Zaman Khan here.
The Originals mini-renaissance continues as Overton limits Brave to a run a ball.
13 runs from the 15 balls since Allen's dismissal.
A second set without a boundary, quite remarkable given what came before it. Just three runs off it.
Strong stuff from Gleeson - Vince pushes him into the covers but can only find the boundary rider running round.
A bit of consolidation for Originals as Overton goes for just five.
James Vince gets off the mark with three into the covers.
The cut-off for this innings is meant to be 19:40 BST - highly unlikely we'll make that, a consequence of only having one spinner and all that retrieving the ball from the stands. As a consequence Originals will likely to have to bring a fielder into the ring for the close of the innings.

The day-nighter makes me feel like I should be having a beer.

He'll be disappointed with that shot. He was hitting the ball beautifully down the ground so he may be thinking he should have kept with that intent.
Allen c Buttler b Walter 69 (Brave 122-1)
Oh.
Curious shot from Finn Allen, a half-hearted ramp shot when he's been finding all his luck down the ground. He only manages to find a little edge to Jos Buttler behind the stumps.
He departs for 69 off 38 and in comes captain James Vince.
As Shakespeare said, how many ways can I describe a massive six? Let me count the ways...
Conway gets four behind square from Walter and then takes a single to bring Allen back. He fires a huge six over long-on.
That's the biggest opening partnership in the history of The Hundred men's competition, beating Paul Stirling and Quinton de Kock's 121 for Brave against Welsh Fire last year.

Brave were 41-0 after 30 balls. They've taken 70 off the next 30.

Finn Allen has been targeting straight down the ground.
It was a great effort from Jamie Overton in the field.
Finn Allen is piling on the misery for Calvin Harrison and Manchester Originals.
Devon Conway brings him on strike with a single that brings up the Brave 100.
Allen sends a gigantic six over long-on that goes deep into the stands and then flat drives straight down the ground for four more.
This is shaping to be a huge total for Southern Brave.
Six more for Brave!
Devon Conway throws his hands at Calvin Harrison's delivery and connects - the ball flies over the ropes at long-off.
That's the highest opening partnership in this competition this season, surpassing Matthew Short and Tom Banton's 97 for Northern Superchargers against Brave.
Some respite from the sixes as Josh Little goes for nine from his set. He attempts a slower bouncer that goes too high and draws a no-ball call from the umpires.
Originals are going to take a strategic time-out. Getting one of these batters out might be a solid plan.

This could be dangerous signs for Manchester Originals.
Allen 52 (31), Conway 22 (19)
Boom!
Another six for Allen, flaying Zaman Khan down the ground. He moves past fifty and Southern Brave are looking formidable.

That is a massive blow. It sat up to be hit.
Big four for Finn Allen... and then an even bigger six!
We finally have some spin with Calvin Harrison. He goes for three singles before Allen gets his teeth stuck in, smacking the ball past the Originals bowler before a huge six goes over mid-wicket and out of the ground!
Allen moves to 44 from 28, while the umpires are picking out a replacement ball.

We might start to see this opening pair up their shoulders now. They've got used to the pace of the wicket now and have taken their time.
Consecutive fours for Finn Allen, one graceful, the next less so.
He hops back slightly and whips Walter to the boundary behind point. The Originals seamer follows with a shorter delivery that cramps Allen for room a little, but no matter - he clubs it over mid-off from the top of the bat.
Conway then attempts a booming drive but can only inside edge onto his ankle.

A shot of authority from Devon Conway.
