We haven't seen many teams withstand India like this in the powerplay so there is a bit for Rohit Sharma to think about.

If there's one area where the Dutch lack experience it is facing spin in subcontinental conditions, although they did have a 'spin camp' a couple of weeks before the World Cup started.
Kuldeep Yadav has Colin Ackermann up on his toes like a cat on hot tin roof in his crease before the Netherlands batter pinches a single off the final ball of the over to keep the strike.

I'm not sure many of us are thinking the Netherlands are going to win but they have made a very solid start.
And it'll be a nuisance for India, the longer that they are kept out there.

He is a powerful man and that has gone a long way. Shami wasn't impressed with the one down the ground earlier but O'Dowd had absolutely no intent of hitting that along the turf!
Thanks, Sam.
Contrary to the praise they have received the Dutch have actually been a little bit unhappy with their performances in the tournament.
A sense they haven't really done themselves justice, especially with the bat. This is a decent partnership from Max O'Dowd and Colin Ackermann.
Target 411
Short from Mohammed Shami and Max O'Dowd nails the pull shot.
High and into the crowd from the Netherlands opener.
That's an impressive powerplay for the Dutch. This is where I leave you, though. It's time for Timothy Abraham to take the reins.

What a shot that is! It is quite something to skip down the pitch like that to Mohammad Shami, of all people.
Target 411
Pumped back over Mohammed Shami's head for four.
It's another super shot from Max O'Dowd to bring up the fifty partnership.

I think I did all right there. They're quite nice, actually.

Good luck eating those crisps quietly while you're on the mic, Dirk. I've heard they are quite spicy, mind.
Target 411
Max O'Dowd takes on a bumper from Mohammed Siraj to end the over.
He doesn't get all of it but the connect is good enough that the ball loops over square leg for a single.
The Netherlands will be very pleased with this start, especially after losing Wesley Barresi early.

Great shot, and it's just perfectly straight from Siraj so all the movement has gone.
And I like how he holds the pose. You want to hold the pose for as long as you can for the photographers to get a shot with Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma in the background admiring your work.

Oh, glorious, that is as good as anything we've seen all day from Colin Ackermann.
Target 411
Back down the ground for four! That is a very classy shot from Colin Ackermann!
Overpitched again from Mohammed Siraj and the ball is met by the full face of Ackermann's bat.
It goes quickly to the boundary, all along the deck.

What is Suryakumar Yadav doing with his dives? It's like he's gone for a swim, practicing his front crawl and then combining it with a dive for a try in rugby at the end.
Target 411
Punched very nicely through the off side by Colin Ackermann to end the over.
The ball is flicked back just short of the rope after a big dive from the chasing fielder and they run three.

Former Australia bowler on BBC Test Match Special
Well, it is a very good batting surface so some credit has to go to the batters.

Dare I say it's been quite a loose start from India's bowlers?
Target 411
Even Mohammed Shami is a little off it to start. His second ball is on Colin Ackermann's hip and he is able to clip it fine for another boundary.
That probably doubles the number of loose deliveries he's bowled at this tournament.
Here comes Mohammed Shami. He's been brilliant since coming into the India side at this World Cup.
