  1. Labuschagne survivespublished at 15.4 overs

Tabraiz Shamsi is fuming. Had that been given out on the field then Marnus Labuschagne would be on his way.

However, it's umpire's call on the ball-tracking technology so the Aussie batter surives.

I think it has struck him outside the line.

  3. South Africa reviewpublished at 15.4 overs

    Will be tight this.

Shamsi is dancing all over the place. He's like a Morris dancer! He's surely going to review this.

  5. South Africa reviewpublished at 15.4 overs

Marnus Labuschagne goes back to Tabraiz Shamsi and plays down the line.

Given not out, but Shamsi looks convinced.

    It's been sent upstairs.

  6. Aus 110-3published at 15.3 overs

    Target 213

Tabraiz Shamsi, a player personality oozing from his pores, continues over the wicket with his rather awkward left-arm wrist spin.

A reverse sweep from Marnus Labuschagne brings him a couple of runs.

The BBC feed disappears for 20 minutes, no wicket. The feed comes back, and straight away there’s a drop, then a wicket falls. This cannot be a coincidence.

  8. Aus 109-3published at 15 overs

It's now the Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne show which might curtail the excitement given their propensity to grind it out.

It's going to take some good bowling to winkle both of these two.

That's just loftily played all around. It's not surprising at all that he's out.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.1 overs

    Head b Maharaj 62 (Aus 106-3)

Bowled through the gate! South Africa are fighting tooth and nail here.

Keshav Maharaj gets it turn back into Travis Head who plays an expansive drive but the left-hander sees the ball skid through between bat and pad.

He's on his way. Huge moment for the Proteas.

This is where the 50-over format shines, when it has scope for plenty of twists and turns.

Not even sure he got a hand on it! It went very quickly. This is exhausting watching this.

  13. dropped catch

Head dropped on 57published at 13.3 overs

Travis Head flashes at a flighted delivery from left-arm wrist spinner Tabraiz Shamsi.

The ball flies through slip where Heinrich Klaasen gets something on it, but the ball bursts through him and races away for four.

  14. Aus 99-2published at 13 overs

If you're wondering about the lack of updates...we've had a few technical issues. Sorry about that.

Thankfully, we've located 50p for the meter and we are up and running again. What you have missed?

Despite the loss of those two wickets Travis Head has continued his brutal assault and passed fifty.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 7.4 overs

Marsh c van der Dussen b Rabada 0 (Aus 61-2)

    What a catch!

South Africa are up and about now! Mitch Marsh thumps the ball into the covers but Rassie van der Dussen is there, flinging himself to his right to take a brilliant catch.

The Proteas are not done yet.

  16. Aus 61-1published at 7.3 overs

A couple of wickets for South Africa here and the momentum of this game could shift dramatically. Kagiso Rabada bounces back from that expensive over with two dots and a single.

Games gone too little too late from Bavuma.. this pitch and situation was screaming for spin to open. He never thinks outside the box, a very frustrating watch...

The openers have taken such a big chunk out of the total already so Mitchell Marsh isn't under much pressure, but I still want to see him be proactive and get on the front foot.

This is an interesting time for Aiden Markram to bowl but Temba Bavuma didn't have much choice.

  20. Aus 60-1published at 7 overs

A wicket maiden from Aiden Markram as Mitchell Marsh sees off five dots without scoring.
