Absolute stroll in the park for Australia. Positive batting the polar opposite of the South African innings. Temba Bavuma standing not changing anything no wonder people question his captaincy.

    That is huge, and bizarre!

Warner was backing away, giving himself room and trying to put Markram under pressure early.

There was a bit of turn and that may be a sign of things to come.

But he's gone to Aiden Markram's first ball!

The intent is important in a run-chase like this, get ahead of the rate because we know how important the middle phase of the innings will be.

I'm torn, of the three remaining teams South Africa are the ones I most want to win the tournament. However, I think Australia have the better chance of beating India in the final.

Any hope that South Africa had of dragging themselves back into the game, you felt it had to come with the new ball.

David Warner isn't holding back today!

It's quite an elegant little shot in the end and he just times it nicely over the leg side.

  15. 6 runs

    Aus 39-0published at 5 overs

Australia have come out to put this game to bed early, even if it means taking a few chances.

Travis Head only gets half of it with that first four but he gets the full quota of runs he was after.

  17. Aus 32-0published at 4.3 overs

Travis Head is motoring after taking a shine to Marco Jansen.

The Aussie opener whips Jansen powerfully through long on for four and then a couple of balls later drills it straight as a die for another.

Head thne walks down the pitch to do some graden, dabs his bat into the pitch, then readies himself for some more.

Swung over the leg side for six! What a shot.

The Bunsen burners are let off for that one one and I'm not surprised. That was worth a flame or two.

  19. 6 runs

    Aus 24-0published at 3.3 overs

This is becoming a handy start for Australia now.

David Warner capitalises on one a little bit short from Kagiso Rabada, swivelling to pull him high into the night sky and over the boundary for six.

    A huge hit.

The problem that South Africa have is that with no Lungi Ngidi in the side, they don't have another bowler who can bowl in the powerplay.

Gerald Coetzee relies heavily on having fielders out in the deep.
