    Target 198

A brilliant effort for no reward from Freya Kemp, who dives full stretch to palm the ball away from the boundary, but only sees it roll along and hit the rope anyway for Shafali Verma's first boundary.

    No stopping this, though.

Smriti Mandhana pummels a half-volley down the ground for her first four. Great shot.

A decent start by India - just what they needed.

    Thanks, Callum.

India's openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma are already out in the middle and ready to go. You'd think they need to get the hosts off to a flying start if they are to chase down this score.

Mahika Gaur will open the bowling for England.

It is an above par score but the only thing India will be thinking is that is is a pretty good wicket with a quick outfield and the boundaries are pretty small as well. If India are going to chase it down they will have to rely on the normal suspects, people like Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma to get them off to a good start.

England would have been very concerned at 2-2, but a 138-run partnership between Danni Wyatt and Nat Sciver-Brunt has given them a very competitive total at 197-6.

NSB top-scored with 77, while Wyatt made 75 on her 150th T20 appearance for England.

It's a very, very good score. In the interviews before the match they were talking about 150 being a good score. In women's cricket at the Wankhede the scores have been even lower, so to get nearly 200 on the board it is going to be a real stiff target for India.

I think Dunkley is a real talent but technically she struggles at the top of the order even in T20. Use her as a floating batter to drop in when we need to counterattack. She needs the freedom to just play..

    Breaking

Considering England were 2-2 after the first over, a total of 197-6 is a very good effort.

    Will it be enough?

Amy Jones tries to slog over mid-wicket, but picks out the fielder, with Jemimah Rodrigues taking a good catch above her head.

    And again.

Pulled to the square-leg boundary this time.

England's highest T20 score in India is 199-3. Will they beat it? One ball remains.

    Four more.

Amy Jones uses her feet to create an angle to slice over the covers.

    Lovely batting.

Five is perfect for Knight. Lose some early wickets and she's ideal. Don't and she can push it on. Sometimes we need some strength at five and six rather than load the top.

    Sciver-Brunt c Ghosh b Thakur 77 (Eng 177-5)

    Lovely catch.

This is good all round from India.

It is a slower ball from Renuka Singh Thakur and she throws it slightly wider.

That means Nat Sciver-Brunt is reaching for the ball and she edges behind to Richa Ghosh.

The keeper has to throw herself to her right but holds on at full stretch.

  18. Eng 173-4published at 18 overs

Wicketkeeper Amy Jones is the new batter.

She gets off the mark first ball with a couple, and then picks up her first boundary with a sweep.

I'm a little surprised we haven't seen Freya Kemp promoted to finish off the innings.

    Knight b Shreyanka 6 (Eng 165-4)

A wicket on debut for Shreyanka Patil.

The spinner cramps Heather Knight for room and the ball skids through the England captain and cannons into off-stump.
