India rolling back the years in the field – and I mean that in the worst possible way. This has been a fielding performance as bad as any I can remember in the era of full-time professionals.

  2. Eng 164-3published at 17 overs

India have been really poor as this innings has progressed. Pooja Vastrakar has struggled.

Heather Knight picks up four to deep cover, before Nat Sciver-Brunt helps herself to three more as England take 19 from the over.

200 is definitely on for England.

  3. Eng 145-3published at 16 overs

England captain Heather Knight is the new batter. She starts with two dots, before taking a single to get up and running.

Nat Sciver-Brunt keeps England moving with a sweep to the boundary. She's particularly important now - if she bats through the innings then England will have a very challenging total.

  4. wicket

Wyatt st Ghosh b Ishaque 75 (Eng 140-3)

    Finally a breakthrough.

Danni Wyatt looks to advance down the pitch and drive over the covers but misses.

Richa Ghosh collects and whips the bails off.

A brilliant innings from Wyatt though, finishing with 75 off 47 balls. A good innings before Saturday's WPL draft.

  5. Eng 140-2published at 15 overs

    Wyatt 75, Sciver-Brunt 55

Danni Wyatt is striking at 200 against spin so far in this innings, compared to 94 against pace.

It's only going upwards at the moment too as the England opener latches on more length to find the mid-wicket boundary.

With five overs to go, there's a chance of 200 still.

  6. Eng 132-2published at 14 overs

    Wyatt 69, Sciver-Brunt 53

India haven't bowled very well since the first couple of overs.

Shreyanka Patil twice drops too short and Danni Wyatt crashes two pulls into the mid-wicket boundary.

Wyatt is punishing every India mistake at the moment.

  7. Eng 120-2published at 13 overs

    Two singles end the over.

    Will England push beyond 180?

Nat Sciver-Brunt has the effect so few cricketers manage – the ability to walk out and feel immediately in total control of a situation. With that calming influence, I reckon she’d make a great airline pilot.

Half-century for Nat Sciver-Brunt too, her 13th in T20 internationals.

Saiqa Ishaque strays onto her pads and Sciver-Brunt sweeps fine for four.

    Lovely placement.

That drop from the normally-excellent Vastrakar tells a story of the pressure being put on India. Not sure we’ll see a worse one all series, mind. An absolute shocker.

  11. Eng 109-2published at 12 overs

Danni Wyatt and Nat Sciver-Brunt have put on 107 now.

This could be a match-winning partnership for England.

  12. dropped catch

Wyatt dropped on 52published at 11.5 overs

Oh no. I'm sorry to say it, but this is a shocker.

Danni Wyatt hits it straight to Pooja Vastrakar at long-on, and she should take a simple catch but it just falls out.

Wyatt immediately closed her eyes in disappointment and can't believe she's been given another life.

  13. 6 runs

50 for Danni Wyattpublished at 11.4 overs

What a way to bring up your half-century.

Danni Wyatt skips down the track and plants it over long-off for another six.

It comes up off 34 balls with four fours and two sixes.

A nice way to celebrate her 150th appearance.

  14. Eng 99-2published at 11 overs

That drinks break might be the start of England putting their feet down.

India, and Harmanpreet Kaur, know they need a wicket too so Renuka Singh Thakur, who took the first two scalps, is back on.

Nat Sciver-Brunt isn't having it though, hitting her for consecutive boundaries before two singles end the over.

  16. Eng 89-2published at 10 overs

Another change for India as Shreyanka Patil comes into the attack.

It looks like Danni Wyatt is going to take on the 21-year-old, smashing her down the ground for four, before splicing over cover for a couple more.

Time for a drink. Wyatt and Nat Sciver-Brunt have put on 87 for the second wicket now.

Nat Sciver-Brunt is not only the best English batter by a country mile, she would be the first batter in a World Xl. Without her this England batting line-up is average at best.

    Shottt!

Danni Wyatt gets down on one knee and slog-sweeps Deepti Sharma over the square leg boundary.

I spoke earlier about Wyatt wanting to impress ahead of the WPL auction on Saturday. She's going about it in the right way so far.

For me, as a South African, my bucket list is to watch every day of a five-day New Years Test at Newlands, Cape Town. Always super hot, lovely to sit on the grass. Hopefully one day.

Good comeback from Saiqa Ishaque, conceding just four singles from the rest of the over.

England are laying a decent platform for the backend.
