Bizarre from Jadeja. He played one defensive stroke to Hartley on one knee in the previous over. Now he's done it again, got too low and the bounce has done him.

    Jadeja c Pope b Bashir 12 (Ind 130-4)

And another! England are on the charge before tea and that charge is being led by 20-year-old Shoaib Bashir.

After seeing Ravindra Jadeja plant his fellow spinner Tom Hartley into the stands, Bashir keeps him pinned on the crease and then gets an untidy inside edge onto pad from the left-hander.

Ollie Pope doesn't drop those at short leg.

India have completely brought England's bowlers into the game by preparing a pitch like this.

If Jadeja is batting in the same place as last game, is he 'pushed up' to number five, or just number five?

And Ravindra Jadeja plants the next two balls from Tom Hartley for six! This could be fun.

  7. Not outpublished at 08:32 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

A waste of a review by England. It was missing by a long way.

Things has hit a crack and looks to have deviated far too much from England's perspective.

    England fancy another.

The ball has ended up going for four somethings at fine leg.

Was that pad? Would it have hit the stumps?

If it was the 10th wicket, of the second innings on day five of the fifth Test to win the series 3-2 with minutes left I would do ANYTHING to get that wicket. ANYTHING!

I'd eat a teaspoon of baked beans (I abhor baked beans) for a Jaiswal wicket but not for a Siraj... it's all relative right?

Shoaib Bashir was decent in the first Test but it has been a step up from him today. This is another wicket maiden.

Shoaib Bashir is one of the great selections. No first-class experience, just a gut feel. It's brilliant from the selectors.

As happened in the last game, Ravindra Jadeja is pushed up to number five.

Here is he. 15 minutes to go until tea and Bashir has a slip and a short leg.

That's two marginal umpire's calls that have gone England's way. They might be feeling a little warmer towards the DRS system.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 34.3 overs

    Patidar lbw b Bashir 17 (Ind 112-3)

Clipping leg! England will feel they deserved one of those.

Shoaib Bashir has bowled really and this one has turned but also skidded on off the surface.

Rajat Patidar's head rocks back as the decision is confirmed.

It'll be close on leg stump.

England got the on-field decision, remember, so it only has to be clipping.

    Rohit watches on nervously...

    Bashir strikes again!

Rajat Patidar is given lbw. I fear this one may have turned too much.

    India review.

  19. Ind 112-2published at 34 overs

    Jaiswal 52, Patidar 17

Rajat Patidar seems to have settled and a lovely late cut gets him four off Tom Hartley.

I have a feeling there'll be a mob outside Dan's house (8:16 GMT) by the end of this innings, forcing him to walk that dog again.

The question is, though, what would you do if it guaranteed your team a wicket?

Bashir almost bowls Jaiswal with one that shoots low. That's a rare reminder of what happened yesterday.
