BBC Sport NI at Pairc Esler
On Friday morning I asked my BBC colleague Cecilia Daly what the weather would be like around three o’clock in Newry on Sunday.
“Windy,” she replied. Well, Cee wasn’t wrong.
It’s blowing a gale here in Pairc Esler and the elements could play a big role in events today as Tyrone champions Errigal Ciaran and Armagh champions Clann Eireann try to advance to an Ulster club SFC final against Kilcoo on 8 December.
Errigal are two-time winners of this competition but they haven’t been in the decider since the second of those triumphs in 2002.
So it’s all new ground for these players.
Same goes for Clann Eireann, who have never won this competition or been to the final. In the old days it used to their Lurgan rivals Clan na Gael and more recently the utterly dominant Crossmaglen Rangers who represented Armagh with such distinction for what seemed like forever.
Now it’s Clann Eireann’s turn to write a new chapter for Armagh clubs in Ulster. Can they make it to a first final? We will find out soon.

Clann Eireann v Errigal Ciaran (15:15 GMT).
Clann Eireann ladies' retention of their Ulster Club Football title last weekend kept alive the prospects of history being created in the province as the Lurgan outfit's men approach Sunday's semi-final against Errigal Ciaran.
No Ulster club has previously won the men's and women's provincial titles in the same year.
It has happened in other provinces before. As recently as last year and indeed in 2022, Kilmacud Crokes' men and women captured the Leinster Club Football titles.
Clann Eireann's Armagh ladies captain Clodagh McCambridge quietly acknowledged that last weekend's 2-17 to 2-8 win over Lurgan (you read that correctly) of Cavan has the club's men's side, which includes All-Star brother Barry, "probably feeling a bit of pressure now" before quickly going back on message to add that "they’ll just be focusing on themselves".

Kilcoo 5-10 Scotstown 0-14
Four goals in eight minutes either side of half-time were enough to see Kilcoo back into the Ulster senior club football final with a 5-10 to 0-14 win over Scotstown at the Athletic Grounds in Armagh.
Goals win games and that mantra rang true in the Orchard County on Saturday night as a Shane Carey's own goal and fine Christopher Rooney goal inside 60 seconds of each other gave Kilcoo a seven-point lead at the break.
Karl Lacey's side opened the second half with two further majors from two plays with Miceal Rooney firing to the net seconds before Ceilum Doherty hit the top corner with a sublime finish.
Four goals and one point without reply for the Down champions all but ended the game as a contest early in the second half.
Miceal Rooney added his second goal and his side fifth in the dying embers of the game to cap a five-star performance from Kilcoo.
Ryan McEvoy helped Kilcoo overcome Scotstown at the Athletic Grounds
Clann Eireann v Errigal Ciaran (15:15 GMT)
Errigal Ciaran make two late changes to the team selected in the match programme with Padraig McGirr and Ciaran Quinn the men coming in, with Thomas Canavan and Pauric Traynor dropping to the bench.
Thomas Canavan was used off the bench in some championship games this year but his influential cameo role in the Ulster preliminary round win over St Eunan’s in Omagh led to his recall to the starting 15 against Cargin. However he's back on the bench today, but will no doubt be needed later.
As for Armagh champions Clann Eireann, Aodhan McConville is replaced at corner-forward by Dan McCarthy.
Errigal Ciaran: D McAnenley; N Kelly, B McDonnell, A McCrory; T Colhoun, Cormac Quinn, P Og McCartan; P McGirr, J Oguz; R Canavan, O Robinson, T Canavan; P Harte, D Canavan, P Traynor
Clann Eireann: E Mulholland; S Heffron, M O’Shea, C O’Carroll; B McCambridge, S McCartney, R Owens; T Kelly, C McConville; J Conlon, D McGee, A Kelly; R McDonald, C Turbitt, A McConville
