  1. Down and Laois book Croke Park returnspublished at 19:05 British Summer Time 23 June

That's all from us after another dramatic afternoon of championship action.

For all the talk of whether the Tailteann Cup deserved its Sunday billing, we had two entertaining games in Croke Park.

As Antrim's season comes to a close, they'll be frustrated by how their charge faltered down the stretch against Laois, Andy McEntee's side outscored 2-5 to 0-3 in the game's most crucial passage.

It was a nail-biter for Down who needed extra-time, and a red card for their opposition, to edge past Sligo and make their return to the final. Read our report of that one here.

Beaten by Meath in the decider last year, the county already promoted to Division Two will look to finish their campaign with silverware in three weeks' time.

There'll be more reaction across BBC Sport NI, as well as news of the All-Ireland quarter-final draw tomorrow morning, but for now, thanks for joining us!

  3. 'We've taken these boys to the well'published at 18:35 British Summer Time 23 June

    Down 1-20 Sligo 2-15 (AET)

"It was a titanic battle," Down manager Conor Laverty tells RTE 2.

"I felt our fitness showed through. The red card probably changed the game, Sligo had a good foothold in the game but it gave us momentum.

"When momentum swings it's very hard to get back, but credit to the lads, we've done a serious amount of training. We're extremely fit, we've taken these boys to the well a serious amount of times and it's days like that there when it comes through."

Down are through to the Tailteann Cup final for a second successive season and they will be back here in Croke Park to take on Laois in a few weeks time.

Odhran Murdock's penalty enough to edge a titanic tussle.

That was incredible, this Down side will take so much from that contest.
