    As well as wins for Armagh and Donegal in the All-Ireland series this evening, Dublin beat Roscommon 2-19 to 0-13 and Louth eased past Meath 3-10 to 0-9.

    A crowd of 16,607 watched on as Jim McGuinness made it sixteen league and championship games unbeaten at the home of Donegal football.

    Oisin Gallen continued his fine summer top scoring with seven points despite the close attention of Tyrone full-back, Padraig Hampsey.

    The winning of the game came in the third quarter, the Tir Chonaill outscoring the visitors six points to one in a fifteen minute spell.

    Tyrone host Clare next week while, Donegal go to Cork.

    Earlier this evening, Armagh responded to their heartbreaking Ulster final defeat with a five-point win over Westmeath in their All-Ireland Series group opener at the Athletic Grounds.

    Just as it was when these same two teams met last year, Westmeath didn’t allow Armagh to pull too far ahead in the first half, which was tit-for-tat in terms of scoring.

    The Orchard County were much improved in the second half however, as they claimed a 0-16 to 0-11 victory.

    It's been as tense as you might come to expect from these two with no quarter given or taken.

    There is absolutely nothing between the sides really as they head in at the break.

    Oisin Gallen has been on fire for the hosts with four points while, Darren McCurry has four at the other end for the visitors.

    One thing Tyrone may look to address is the wide count. They've kicked seven to Donegal's two.
